Do laptops have fuses or anything for power surge protection?
I have an older Compaq EVO laptop, the AC adapter went bad and I bought a universal one. I set the voltage and plugged it up but cord came loose at the plug. When I was plugging it back up, it touched the posts in reverse and sparked. It was just one quick spark. Is my MOBO fried now? It won't power on now.
