How do u adjust headrests on a BMW 745i, 2002?
This depends on the exact options the car has but usually the headrest adjustment is on the side of the center console, clustered with the rest of the seat adjustment controls.
Each part of the seat has a corresponding button shaped somewhat like the seat part. When you press one of these, it will light up an outline of the button on the surface. With the headrest button selected, you then use the joystick knob to move the headrest up or down by moving the knob up or down. A little too complex by my estimate but simple compared to the iDrive system in the 2002 7 series.
If there is no headrest shaped button, meaning the optional seat package isn't installed, then look at the base of the headrest support rods on the top of the seat back. There should be a small arc-shaped button that you can push in and manually slide the headrest up or down.
I hope this helps. I also hope BMW reads this and gets a clue about not making staple adjustments such as this so hard to find. Of course, they are not the only culprits.
