What style is best suited to beat Anderson Silva?
Everywhere I read they say a guy who can wrestle him to the ground or crowd him - he is an expert at BJJ and is excellent on the ground or in close quarters. I think you have to find a top shelf kickboxer who can match his striking, trying to get a well rounded guy isn't enough because he is too skilled on the ground, you need a guy who is better then him on his feet and just try to KO him.
I think the Axe Murderer may be past his best days, but I don't think Silva would have an easy time with him, his knees and punches are devastating too.
I just think with a guy so well rounded you I think you just have to pick a guy who is a specialist in one area and roll the dice. In MMA, its hard to dominate a guy wrestling if he can wrestle too, same with BJJ - but KOs standing can come much more unexpected.
Ryo Chonan dove at his feet leg first and went into a take-down/leg lock move and submitted him. So I think some sort of unique style/move that catches him off guard like Ryo did.
