Here are some more information for Audi Mercedes:

Built by the German automaker Audi, the Q5 is somewhat of a compact crossover which lays the foundation for the Q7, this model is yet to be released as a 2009 version and it is being built using the modular longitudinal platform which is also referred to ask MLP, this same technology was also featured in the A5 coupe.
The new vehicle will be built in Ingolstadt as other models before. It will require an investment of around US$400 million. The Q5 will also be produced in Changchun, China to compete with other mid class vehicles on the Chinese markett. Despite a similar concept car named "Audi Cross Cabriolet quattro" shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2007, the first public available introduction of the new Q5 was at the Beijing Auto Show on the 19th April 2008. It features a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, a hybrid petrol/electric is also expected to developed. When it comes to the transmission, this vehicle counts with a six speed automatic one which controls the 4 Wheel Drive system. Cha
According to its design it is able to compete with similar vehicles from different manufacturing houses such as the Infinity EX (by Nissan), the Acura RDX (by Honda), the Mercedes-Benz GLK-class, the Volvo XC60 and the BMW X3 built by the manufacturer with the same name.
At the moment the engine configurations are somewhat limited however, in the future it is expected to become available as a hybrid (gasoline and electric), a gasoline and petrol version and as a turbocharged direct injection vehicle also known as TDI.
Harmon/Becker Automotive Systems will produce the the German Automaker's new Multi-Media Interface (MMI) technology. It will be available for the first time in the Audi Q5. The system will probably offer navigation, communication, and not to forget wide-screen entertainment. Nvidia (known for it's computer graphic cards) presented a new concept of processors recently. Those are based on their computer graphic card technology. This technology is also used in scientific computers because the chips are potentially 20 times faster than Intel's pentium processors. One of them will be the base for the new MMI system, allowing generation of smooth map transitions when driving. With the technology a 3D orientation map with true-to-scale terrain and photo realistic depictions of key landmarks is made possible in cars for the first time. Finally with the new system Audi implements features including USB storage media (iPod and MP3), satellite radio and blue tooth.
Expected delivery dates to dealers are late Summer 2008 for Europe, and early 2009 in North America as a 2009 year model. Future powertrain options for the United States market have yet to be announced.
The Quattro Four-Wheel Drive:
This system is one-of-a-kind because it controls all four wheels asymmetrically, it means that if one of the tires is in danger of losing grip the system will redistribute the power among the rest of the wheels in order to restore the control to the driver as well as to minimize accidents. The Quattro Four-Wheel Drive system is now available not only in the Q5 but also in other Audi models for around 5000-1000 US $.

Audi Unveils V12 Tdi, Expands Product Portfolio in India
Audi has unveiled its new V12 TDI turbodiesel at the 2007 North American Auto Show in Detroit. The V12 which Audi calls the “majestic” has aroused various reactions from the crowd. Most of the people present at the Auto Show think that majestic is not an accurate description of the 6L diesel that cranks 500HP and 737 lb-ft of torque power.
The great power of the V12 TDI is produced through a pair of variable-vane turbochargers that apply 1.6 bar (24PSI) of pressure to the intercooled intake charge. The direct injection system of the TDI which employs piezoelectric injectors to spray fuel together with the multiple pre and post combustion events at an amazing 2000 bar (30,000 PSI) also helps in powering up the TDI. Audi has also made sure that the TDI meets up with the 2010 Euro-5 standard by means of its heavy use of exhaust gas circulation that keeps emission level down.
The power produced by the TDI is then fed to its all-wheel-drive system that maintains a 40:60 front-rear balance that gives this car the “slightly tail-heavy, sporty handling characteristics.” And to bring this monster car to a halt, Audi has equipped it with a set of monstrous disc brakes that are specially fitted for the TDI. Its interior is trimmed with white leather and light-colored carbon filter.
The V12 TDI turbodiesel is not the only new in Audi for 2007. The German luxury car manufacturer is also planning to expand its product portfolio for this year in India and it would start by introducing four new variants of vehicles to add to their eleven existing variants. The said new models of vehicles are to be introduced in a phased manner--- so far this is the only info available since Rahil Ansari, Country Manager of Audi for India have refused to divulge any details of the said plan.
Audi, manufacturer of quality A4 tie rods is also planning of getting head to head with Mercedes-Benz in the selling luxury model most especially in the E-segment in which Mercedes is currently dominating. Audi has decided to launch their 2.7 liter petrol and diesel variants and have it priced in par with that of the Mercedes-Benz E-280 of the same variant. Audi’s existing fleet under the E-segment is the A4 3-litre offered in both petrol and diesel variant but cost Rs 5 lakh higher than the cost of Mercedes-Benz E-class range costing only Rs 48 to 50 lakh.
Audi is also planning to introduce its 3.2 litre V6 engine variant and priced it within the bracket of Rs 40 lakh plus. And according to industry sources the German automaker may offer it in limited number only. At present there are eight dealerships in India: one in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and five other new dealerships across the country. Audi is also considering the possibility of setting up a manufacturing facility in India.

Which Luxury Car Is Better? Lexus, Audi, Mercedes?
Audi A8 L ($120k)
Mercedes-Benz S600 ($147k)
Lexus LS600hL ($125k)
BMW 760li ($136k)
Jaguar XJL SuperSport ($115k)
Please rate them 1 (best) to 5 (worst). Based on luxury, technology, and comfort.
What other cars would you recommend, that are similar to the ones above?
I would never buy a Lincoln.
Let me just say I'm a GM guy and I say so because I know a thing or two about cars. I don't care about how my butt feels in the seat unless it's going forward fast. On the other hand, I've driven my share of luxury cars.
The A8 is not something I would by for luxury. I would buy an A8 because I want to tune the 4wd monster powerplant to perform nicely on track day.
My take on the lexus is they will always be the car that neither looks the part inside or out. The inside is the same scheme as toyota with finer material. I would opt hyundai to beat out a lexus interior any day. The steering is lighter and you just have that taste in your mouth that you dropped over 100K on a fancy toyota. No thanks
BMW puts perfomance before luxury, you can tell because guess what last year's 760 looked like...and the one before...and the one..you get the picture.
You can try to test these cars all you want forward and backward and the simple fact of the matter is the two cars that will float are the mercedes and jag. Maybe I have a soft spot, but when you throw in a 40 year history of tuning multiple body shock absorbers along with that culmination in the '10 jag's automatically adjustable 3 way shocks I don't need to bet which car feels the best on the road.
Here's the bottom line. All luxury cars will have the gadgets and leather seats and power to get you where you need to go. When I look at a luxury car I want to see long, sleek, and sexy; and I want to glide on air. Nothing does that except the jag. And if it's the neuve riche price cap you're looking to breach and the XJL won't quite get you there, then take a look at the XJL neiman marcus supercharged edition. Better hurry, those are likely gone by now.
Cool convertibles coming soon
Mercedes, Audi and Porsche all have new generation convertibles in the pipeline.
