I have to start it in neuteral then shift in to drive or reverse so it doesnt stall. When stopping I have to shift to neuteral then drive to prevent stalling.
Probably a bad lock-up converter solenoid or problem with the TCS circuit. Some people disconnect the TCS connector at the trans although economy will suffer.
