Here are some more information for Bmw Audi:

Count BMW as the next manufacturer to dive head-first into the U.S.'s new clean diesel pool.
The Greenville News (greenvilleonline.com) is reporting that the company will introduce diesel versions of its popular 3-series sedan and X5 SUV, dubbed the 335d and X5 xDrive 35d, at next week's Los Angeles International Auto Show. Concept models were introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this year.
The vehicles will be priced at $44,725 and 52,025 respectively. And just as many hybrid model tax credits are expiring, the BMW's will be eligible for a tax credit of $900 and $1550 under the IRS' Alternative Motor Vehicle code.
Noisy, dirty and unpopular?
Diesel's have been largely unpopular here despite superior fuel economy, while the streets of Europe teem with them. Diesels account for the majority of European BMW's and just under half of them worldwide. Why? Stringent U.S. environmental standards (with state-by-state variances) traditionally rendered their development and production cost prohibitive. Diesels are also perceived stateside as heavy polluting cars with clackety engines.
The "new diesels"
But times have changed. Mercedes-Benz introduced several 2009 models powered by its 50-state legal "Blue Tec" diesel engines. Audi is slated to release a clean diesel version of its A4 sedan, and Cadillac has jumped into the fray with CTS diesel scheduled for 2009. On a recent trip to France, my wife and I rented a Ford C-Max, a European model which was sort of a mini-van-agon. The vehicle was solid, quiet, and emitted no visible exhaust, even under heavy acceleration.
In fact, the new diesels are virtually indistinguishable under operation versus gasoline cars and many produce lower emissions as well. According to BMW spokesman Richard Brekus, the new diesels will continue this trend, with the 335d achieving 30 percent better fuel economy than its gasoline counterpart and the X5 scoring impressive MPG's of 19 city and 26 highway.
Expect to see the new BMW diesels to hit showrooms just in time for the Christmas holiday.

Essential Bmw Parts for Maintaining Your Cooling System
The cooling system in your BMW is not hard to keep running efficiently, but if you ignore it you are risking serious and expensive problems in the future. Occasional attention to the BMW parts that control the temperature of your engine will keep it running smoothly.
Why Engines Need To Stay Cool
An engine in its simplest form is a heat reservoir and a cold reservoir. Energy naturally flows from hot to cold and the engine converts some of that energy to move your car. The greater the temperature difference between the hot and cold reservoir, the more efficient the engine is.
That description is fine on paper, but real engines use real materials and those materials have temperature limits. Your cooling system carries on a delicate balancing act, keeping the engine hot enough to run efficiently but cool enough not to degrade the fittings, gaskets, oil and other BMW parts. If the cooling system isn't well maintained the engine won't run as well.
The Anatomy Of Your BMW's Cooling System
Three systems of BMW parts make up the bulk of your cooling system: the water pump, the hoses, and the thermostat.
The water pump keeps the coolant moving through the engine. Despite its name it isn't actually pumping just water since water isn't efficient enough to cool today's high performance engines. Instead your engine is cooled by antifreeze. Despite its name, antifreez protects against both freezing and boiling. Pumps are driven by a gear or belt that runs off the revolution of the engine and some have secondary electrical pumps for additional cooling.
The term "hoses" refers to a collection of BMW parts that also includes valves, the radiator, and the expansion tank. This array of fluid paths allows the coolant to come into contact with as much of the engine as possible. The more contact, the more efficiently it cools.
Your engine doesn't have just one thermostat but a number of temperature sensors located throughout the engine. In this context it also refers to valves controlled by the thermostats. These valves control flow of coolant so that it is circulated only as the engine needs it. Ideally the engine should heat up quickly and then use coolant to maintain optimal operating temperature.
Maintaining The Cooling System
There are a few steps for owners to take to ensure the BMW parts responsible for keeping the engine cool run in top condition.
Routine maintenance includes replacing the coolant at specified intervals. Because the coolant is exposed to such great heat it breaks down over time. It also picks up impurities from the engine. For this reason, the coolant should be replaced as specified in the maintenance manual.
Hoses should be checked every six months for cracks or leaks and if any are found they should be repaired or replaced immediately. In the absence of visible damage, all hoses should be replaced every few years.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of a bmw 330xi vs. an audi a4?
I'm thinking of buying either a BMW 330xi or an Audi A4 v6. I'm looking for great performance, a good ride, and an all wheel drive.
bmw:
-suppose to have better handling. was fun to drive(I'm not a professional driver, so I couldn't tell the difference between the IS350 and the 330)
-lousy interior
-more expensive compared to the audi
-better gas mileage
-I've tried the auto version and it had a terrible lag until the car rev above ~3000 rpms
audi:
-hated the handling, since i couldn't feel the road
-suppose to be safer
-better interior
-cheaper compared to the bimmer
-i wouldn't buy it cuz it is made by VW and will probably have that lovely VW feature (electrical issues with taillight)
-looks more aggressive
-no low end torque like hondas
