Here are some more information for Cadillac Cts:

At first glance, the Lexus IS-F appears to be a very appealing car. It offers up the 420 hp that it needs to compete with the BMW M3, Audi RS4 and Mercedes C63 AMG, but it also offers something that the Germans don't... the promise of reliability.
Anyone who has owned a German car knows about the electrical problems, the expensive repairs, expensive service etc. Personally, I wonder, what is it that we're paying for (like Audi's special blend of antifreeze) if it fails more often than the Japanese parts? That question is easily answered most of the time with a quick drive. German cars feel solid and connected to the road, where generally, most Japanese cars don't (to the same extent). Even "sporty" Japanese cars like the 370Z can be exhilarating, but lack the high-speed stability.
Apart from the 370Z and maybe the G37 coupe, there aren't too many fun-to-drive Japanese cars today. That's why the IS-F seems to be the ideal combination of German muscle car and Japanese reliability. But as you most likely gathered from the title, where does it all go wrong?
It all went wrong from the design stage of the car. The IS250 and IS350 are cars that are priced fairly low, or looking at it another way, at the top end of the market that young people would buy in. These are the same young people that love the J-pop culture, the Japanese car tuning, the Type R crowd. They have made certain cars that would otherwise blend in, stand out, like the Honda Civic for example. They put spoilers, lips, body kits and other such personalizations on these cars and modify them in every possible way.
As you can probably understand, that group of people is very different from the group of people that can afford cars that are $55,000 or more. These people are usually a good twenty years older, which means, they never saw the J-pop phenomenon to begin with, certainly didn't latch on to it in their 40s or 50s. The problem is that Lexus head honchos don't seem to get this.
Everything about the IS-F is geared towards the J-pop crowd, from its styling (with the outlandish body kit to the colors). On the inside, there's too much video gameyness. Granted, that 20something Temple of VTEC crowd will look up to it and relate to the Gran Turismo feel of it all, but how many of those will actually buy it?
And therein lies the problem. If Lexus wants to establish itself as a credible competitor to BMW's M brand or even Mercedes' AMG sub-brand, then they have to realize that no one who will actually consider a car in this class will want to be seen in the IS-F. It's just plain embarrassing. They need to offer a manual transmission and/or SMG option, and focus more on function than form.
Until then, the IS-F also falls short in balance and handling, ride quality and overall thrills in comparison to the BMW M3.
