Industrial blowers are mainly used to circulate the movement of air and gas in ventilation applications. OEM DVD Drive?
Hey,
I'm wanting to get a DVD Writer for cheap, around $50 or less. (With shipping if I order it online.)
Anyway, I live in Canada, and found this site with $9.99 shipping, and with some good looking cheap DVD Writers. That I could get for about $40 with shipping.
But they say OEM in the hardware line.

I understand OEM Software a bit, but never realized there was OEM Hardware.
Is there something wrong with getting it? Some disadvantages?
Also, what would you say are any ethical things on getting OEM, is there?
Also, I just found the same drive at Futureshop for about $20 more, would it be worth it for that? $20 isn't that small of an amount for me keep in mind.
t stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. But get this. It means the opposite.
OEM products are those items that are sold in bulk to computer package builders (like Gateway or Dell). If you were to purchase one of these prebuilt systems, most (or all) of the cards inside would be OEM.
Mind you--an OEM Diamond modem is still a Diamond modem inside a Gateway, but Diamond won't provide product support. You have to get that from Gateway.
So what does this mean if you were to buy an OEM item? It wasn't meant for you, the end consumer to purchase. Therefore, except for maybe the person you brought it from, you are on your own. The OEM manufacturer provides no customer support.
On the upside, it's usually cheaper. But you may have to downlaod the drivers from the manufacturers website. There is no difference in quality of the products just the software and such that comes with them.
