Here are some more information for Caravan Rear:

If you are towing a caravan or trailer to your camping destination, you immediately come to realise that this is a different beast to just driving a single vehicle. Driving your 4WD or towing vehicle on its own comes naturally after a while - you get to know how it handles. But hitch up something on the rear end and you are talking some different thinking.
It all depends on your rig of course, but here are some golden rules to help make the towing experience a stress-free one:
- Make sure your vehicle is rated to tow the weight of your caravan/trailer. You can find out the relevant information from the vehicle dealer. You need to understand the terms Aggregate Trailer Mass, Gross Trailer Mass, Tare Mass, and Tow Ball Mass. Then you can ensure that your rig is within appropriate safety margins.
- Check the vehicle coupling so that the line through vehicle to trailer is as straight and parallel to the ground as possible. This of course should be measured with both components on the same flat surface. Don't forget the safety chains too.
- Load the towed vehicle appropriately - not too much weight to the front or the rear and try to keep the mass as low as possible. Keep all items as low and central as possible - and don't forget to secure them sufficiently to prevent them rolling around during travel. Correct loading will make for a more efficient ride and minimise sway.
- Fit level-rides to further level and strengthen the combination of towing and towed vehicles. These devices will help front wheel traction and steering and can also provide benefits in fuel consumption.
- Ensure you have adequate braking systems. This may involve installing some electronic inertial gizzmo. To be effective a device such as this needs to be installed correctly. Legislation will vary throughout the world but you must have trailer brakes if the caravan/trailer is over the legislated limiting weight. Further more, if the caravan/trailer is over a higher weight limit, a breakaway system must be fitted also.
- Before you set off on your trip ensure you have tested all lighting and indicators on your caravan/trailer. Walk around the rig and make sure tyres are properly inflated; all attachments are secure; and that your towing mirrors are set to optimum.
- Whilst you are towing do everything slowly and smoothly - accelerate gradually, brake gradually, do not make sudden sharp turns, steer smoothly to minimise sway. Always be conscious of that mass following you. If you do start to sway, don't use the towing vehicle brakes; continue at the same speed or accelerate slightly to counteract the sway. If you have manual over-ride on your caravan/trailer brakes use this gently to combat the sway.
- Be considerate to other road users and pull off the road to let faster vehicles pass (you know what it is like to get stuck behind a caravan!). In some parts of the world the main roads may be narrow and nothing but dirt, so keep alert for oncoming vehicles of a very large size so that you can get off the road to let them pass safely.
- Don't overtake unless it is absolutely necessary, and when you do, remember your increased length, and time your move and overtaking speed accordingly so that both you and the person you are overtaking remain safe from harm.
- To help with 8 above, consider installing a rear view camera. These can be purchased relatively cheaply from electronics stores and are easy to install. Of course you will also need well adjusted driving mirrors.
- Check your towed vehicle regularly - not just before the trip, but at regular rest stops too. Tyres OK? Wheel bearings not overheating? Coupling OK?
- Finally, don't stress. Relax and enjoy - but be vigilant and cautious. If you feel pressured, pull over at a safe spot for a while and take a "stress break".
Safe driving and happy camping.

Important Safety Checks You Need to Make Before Towing a Caravan
As summer approaches many families consider going on a caravanning holiday and it is easy to see why. Once you pull up at your chosen destination you still have all of your home comforts with you, you still have the freedom of your own vehicle to travel around in once there and if you don't like your current location or fancy a change of scenery you simply hitch the caravan back up and move on.
Towing a caravan will however place extra strain and demands both on your vehicle and driving ability, and with all the additional weight and size it can be very easy to get into a tricky situation very quickly, especially when travelling at high speeds on a motorway. Therefore before setting off on your journey you need to make absolute sure that the caravan is as safe and secure as possible.
If you are relatively new to caravanning you need to first assess the ability of your vehicle to carry the extra load. It is important to check the maximum permissible towing weight of your vehicle, this can normally be found in the owners handbook, but as a rough guide it is around 85 percent of the vehicles total kerbside weight.
When loading up the caravan keep the heavy items as low as possible and over the main axel, this is to keep the centre of gravity low and to ensure maximum stability of the caravan when being towed. If the weight is too far back then the caravan will sway violently at high speeds or even lift the rear wheels of the tow car off the ground.
If the weight is too far forward it may exceed the maximum permissible nose weight, which is the downwards force placed upon the tow ball at the rear of your vehicle by the weight of the caravan. The nose weight should be around 7 percent of the total weight of the caravan, although an accurate figure can be found in the owners handbook. Exceeding the maximum permissible nose weight will not only adversely affect stability but could also cause structural damage to the caravan or tow vehicle. Ideally the caravan should either be level or adopt a slightly nose low attitude relative to the tow vehicle.
Before setting off, walk round the caravan to check the jockey wheel and stabilisers are up and locked, all the windows are closed and locked, and that the gas bottle is off and secured. Ensure that the brake lights, indicator lights and reversing lights are all functioning correctly and remember that the extra weight of the caravan may require you to switch the headlight bulbs to a lower position to prevent dazzling oncoming drivers.
Finally just before you drive away on your caravanning holiday make sure that all of the tyre pressures are correct, your wing mirrors are correctly adjusted, and ensure that the brakes on both the caravan and tow vehicle are fully functioning.

Does anyone know if an 05 Dodge Grand Caravan has 2 separate motors (front and rear) for the fan?
I have an 05 Dodge Grand Caravan and the front fan is not working but the rear fan blows out air just fine. So now I don't have any heat to defrost my front windows. Anyone have any info.? Thank you!
yes they do i just replaced one about a week ago on an 04 model which is basically the same thing, but yes they do have two separate motors, check in the fuse panel and look in the owners manual it will tell you which fuse it is and what size it is also, there not hard to replace though if its gone bad,i doubt it being bad and it that new, good luck with it.
