There are basically two types of turntables -- amplified and unamplified.
Some turntables are stand-alone devices, not a complete entertainment system. These types often lack a preamp.
What is a preamp? A little background first.
In order to fit long-playing music onto an LP record, vinyl is typically recorded with reduced lower frequencies and boosted higher frequencies. This is called the RIAA curve. To capture audio from your vinyl, you need to make sure this curve is corrected. A USB turntable, (one specifically made for digitizing vinyl, in other words) will take care of all this for you. Some audio input devices, designed for computers that lack a sound input port, will also correct this.
Another problem with preamps is boosting these frequencies back to normal levels when you play a record. You can rebalance the frequencies by altering the equalizer settings in your audio software.
A third problem with turntables is the low frequency hum. If you hear this when you're trying to preview a record, you are hearing ground, caused when the turntable from which your preamp amplifies sound is ungrounded. You can correct this by wrapping your turntable's grounding wire around the bottom prong of a three-pronged plug like the one on your power strip, and plugging it into a grounded outlet.
None of these things are issues for you when you buy a USB turntable--one specifically made for digitizing vinyl, or when you use a turntable that has a built-in stereo receiver. How do you know if your turntable has a stereo receiver? If your unit has a built-in AM-FM radio or cassette deck, then you can be assured that it also has a built-in receiver.
You can avoid these hassles by buying a turntable specifically made for converting vinyl into MP3 format. A Look into the Pros and Cons of Cassettes
Ultimately, being able to record your voice, even onto a cheap cassette or into the computer to hear your progress or areas that you immediately recognize needing improvement, is the best way to go. A good idea: Dictate the instructions on a cassette or write them out so the person can recheck the message. Digital music has come much closer to us-now we need not carry those portable cassette players to satisfy our musical souls.
To start off the bat, the record company will deduct a 'packaging charge' from the SRLP which is typically 20% for cassettes and 25% for CDs. Some of the older and larger clubs offer their audio books on cassette and CD by mail. Plan some extra rest time leading up to the event and use relaxation or meditation aids such as CD's, DVD's and cassettes to help you relax.
The radio, cassettes, TV, CDs / DVDs, etc, DVD records are manufactured to record high quality material on DVD in a similar fashion as the conventional VCR did on tapes or cassettes. Television soon followed suit and multiplied it all ten fold, along with affordable record players, the invention of cassettes, VHS tapes, and the computer.
The adapter plugs into the player and a mock cassette goes into the player, giving a great sound and music selection received from the digital audio player. Lessons may be imparted through the Internet; but they may also be delivered through regular post, videotapes, audio cassettes, interactive TV sessions, radio or satellite. The same applies to visual demonstrations on video cassettes.
8-tracks, records, cassettes, CDs, and now the iPod, how they work a cassette radio or CD player produces a maximum of about nine real watts into four speakers given the power it gets from the car's electrical system. A cassette recorder or a micro-cassette recorded will be fine.

With this I mean how we have managed to migrate from the old long-plays, both music and VHS cassettes that were so prevalent for many years, to the now famous CD and DVD formats that can store a huge amount of data in just a thin, reflective plate that keeps information as digital bites on its surface. A friend later provided me with an audiocassette of the performance. Information Products - it could be eBooks, "how to" videos, cassettes, magazines, newsletters, paid e-zines, courses, etc.
The CDs and the cassettes show the moves and methods for walking and running on a treadmill. We never owned a stereo or even a cassette player. Audio books are simply books that are spoken and then stored on an audio cassette tape or compact disk (CD).
Digital Video Recording does all of the things that your old fashioned and now obsolete VCR used to do, only without the cassettes and unintuitive programming.
