how do i tell if my computer has bluetooth built in?
it is a windows xp, compaq presario v5000 media center laptop
last week i downloaded bluetooth softwear, the icon wasnt there before but it is now , not sure if that is good or bad
Check your control panel...if it is not there you do not have it...if not you can buy a bluetooth USB device to plug in to your notebook.
Under tech specs for 5000 series....Optional(3)integrated wireless support(4)for 802.11 b/g, configurable 802.11 and Bluetooth™ wireless technologies on select models.
Yours may not have it, check control panel. If it is there and not enabled you will be able to change those settings there.
