Which amp and subs would you recommend for a 03 impala?
I have Sony Xplod Dual 12 inch Subs 1000w each and a Sony Xplod 800 Watts Amplifier. They sound good and all but don't hit hard. I think the subs are good but its the amplifier that doesn't have enough power? Or maybe the cables i used for installation? Think those Sony subs will hit hard with a better amplifier??
Or should i just buy new amp and subs? My Budget for now is $600. I just bought a $1500 dvd player for it and can't afford to pay more for subs and amps.
Recommend links to subs and amps under $600 would be nice. Something that will hit hard.
Well, I got myself some Kickers! It's 2 12'' inch Subs with 800 Watts RMS and 1600 Watts Peak for each. So i guess 3,200 Watts!. This speakers go BOOM! And they are powered by the same sony amp. They are only getting about 200 rms watts, i can't imagine what 800 rms watts would do.
I have to say go for a Rockford Fosgate system all around amps subs and wires. We have experimented with Insignia, sony xplod, Infinity, and Rockford and have had the hardest hitting system with the Rockford. If you are on a limited budget and cant afford all rockford go ahead and get a rockford amp and rockford wires run the xplod speakers with them for now and upgrade to the rockford speakers later
