Volvo Announces C30 Pricing for the US
Anticipation is mounting as Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) announced the pricing of the Volvo C30, a compact near-luxury car. The interesting new C30 has a starting price of just $22,700 for the well-equipped C30 Version 1.0 and $25,700 for the C30 Version 2.0.
With the said pricing, purchasers could have plenty of opportunities to exercise their wild choices and free will. The car is set to go on sale this October. The car will arrive at showrooms tugging a bunch of promises and quality features to offer a truly exhilarating driving experience - both versions of the Volvo C30 are powered by a turbocharged T5 5-cylinder engine that produces 227 horsepower.
Volvo designers and engineers designed the compact car to cater to the escalating needs of driving enthusiasts. It is made 8.5 inches shorter and weighs around 320 pounds less than the S40 sport sedan. However, while the C30 is made shorter, roominess is not compromised. There is still plenty of room for four adults as well as their luggage.
"The C30 has all of the features a customer shopping in this segment is looking for," said Anne Belec, the President and CEO of VCNA. "It's loaded with good looks, performance, big wheels, and a stellar audio system. Better yet, it's got 80 years of Volvo's safety heritage behind it."
The new 30 version 1.0 does not only boasts the traditional Volvo wiper blade for it features lots of amazing accessories and equipment that include the 160-watt MP3-ready stereo, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, chrome exhaust tips, 17-inch wheels, power windows and remote locking.
The Volvo C30 Version 2.0, on the other hand, is equipped with a 650-watt stereo system with 10 speakers by Dynaudio, Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound, 18-inch alloy wheels, a larger roof spoiler, a sport body kit with side skirts and front and rear fascia valances. Fittingly dubbed "A Product of Free Will," the Volvo C30 offers the Swedish automaker’s most extensive list of exterior and interior colors, single options and a whole host of special-order and dealer-installed auto accessories.
The Custom Build special orders are also expected to lure more customers. The said options open up 17 exterior colors and 12 interior color combinations. With ample lot of choices, it will be tough to find any two C30s that are exactly alike. This is especially true when the laundry list of over 30 individual options is stressed.
"We think this comprehensive list of options, coupled with a list of accessory items never before offered by Volvo, is just what this customer will be looking for," said Art Battaglia, the Volvo C30 product manager. "On the list you'll find items not even available for some cars that might be cross-shopped against C30. A special order car is just that, special."

My choice would be the GTI! Even so, I can see why you like the Nissan . Its a good car. But here is why I chose the GTI:
It has won many prestigious awards. Automobile Magazine voted it Car of the Year for 2010. This is the 2nd time the GTI has garnered this coveted trophy. Indeed, its the only car that has won it twice. They bought one in 2007 and tested/thrashed it for a year. They reported that it had zero problems, even with admittedly rough treatment by enthusiastic editors!
Aside from that, the GTI comes 'standard' with a Smile! Few automotive pleasures remain greater than dancing a GTI thru a wide-sweeping curve....
I have enthusiastically driven my GTI for 4 years and 60k reliable miles now. All positive experiences.
All this from the 'old' 2006 model. Drove a 2010 and its even better! [I'm attempting to budget in a new GTI somehow]
