adjustable port on subwoofer?
why is there an adjustible port that doesnt move on my subwoofer?
its a JAMO 200-II
its as far as i know a quality sub, and as i have seen with most hi-end speakers i have seen frequency charts and adjustment parameters labeles by the line inputs or adjustable components.
theres a frequency chart next to a dial diagram i assume for reference, however the port is melted at 4 places around the inside of the plastic port tube.
i am having a heated worthless arguement about the port with a roommate and due to a conflict of belief as to its actual purpose, i ask you,
is the port adjustable for the designers to tune the enclosure or port, then melted to prevent the consumer from playing around with it and effecting the acoustices of the enclosure,
or
is the chart there so i can play with it, and somehow the port is just stuck.
or what is the reason for the diagrams if you cant adjust the port?

It can be a default adjustment or a default setup, you can set it via the settings in it main menu or from when you connect to the computer via that suite or somewhat if that your device support. Also seek help with the user manual of that device.
