Here are some more information for Factory Stereo:

If you are thinking of replacing or upgrading your original factory fitted car radio but are unsure of the options, benefits and technical considerations, then read on, all will be explained.
Factory-fitted radios (standard fit radios) in the past had relatively low power outputs of about 3 to 5 watts RMS. However, the latest factory-fitted radios have improved vastly with power outputs of up to 100 Watts. These figures represent 25 Watts, 'peak' power per channel x 4 (this basically means x 4 speakers).
This actually translates to approximately 10 watts RMS x 4 channels, when used for any length of time (continuous). Is this power substantial to produce high quality sound? Yes and No
Compare this to aftermarket radios (radios manufactured for retail sale), such as the best-selling Alpine, Kenwood, Panasonic and Sony brands, where basic models start at a power output of 45 Watts x 4.
Why am I telling you about factory-fitted radios if you are about to replace it?
I am telling you about factory-fitted radios because if you really wish to keep your radio you can, by adding a CD changer. This gives you the option of CD and/or MP3 at way below what your dealer would charge. This can only be done if your radio has a CD Changer output socket found at the rear of your radio.
Now, if you feel the factory radio must go, ensure that the aftermarket radio you're planning to install has all the features you need. Furthermore, ensure that it is easily compatible with other units like CD changers. This is very important because you never can tell when you'll want to upgrade your car audio system. Then you won't have to spend on interfaces to enable you connect your new unit.

Car Speakers And Other Easy Upgrades To Your Car Stereo
If you are not satisfied with the sound of your car stereo, it may be time for an upgrade to your car speakers. Upgrading the speakers can make even a factory installed stereo system sound better.
Factory installed car stereos have come a long way from the AM radio with one speaker in the dash. Today, car stereo systems have a decent sound. However, you can improve on that sound very easily by upgrading your speakers.
Upgrading the speakers in your car today can be a very simple task. Many of the manufacturers offer speakers that are in one unit that are designed to fit into the existing speaker mounts and use the existing screens of your vehicle. With the all in one speaker units a tweeter is mounted inside the woofer. You will need to know the size of the speakers that are currently installed in the vehicle. These speakers offer an improvement over the factory installed speakers.
For the best sound reproduction, however, you should choose component speakers. Component speakers will likely require that you cut some holes and install some new screens with your new speakers. The separation of the tweeter from the woofer prevents some of the sound distortion that can be caused by stacking these two elements together. Component sets are an especially good choice for persons that enjoy listening to rap or rock music. The woofer can reproduce the beat while the tweeter produces the higher pitched voices.
If you do not want to replace the speakers, another option is to purchase a signal processor. The processor can clean up the signal that is produced by your car stereo so that it sounds better over the existing speakers. For even more improvement add both the signal processor and new speakers.
In addition, the processor can change the sounds to help your stereo to sound good if you are traveling at five miles per hour or at seventy five miles per hour. Some processors have a microphone that is used to analyze the sound in your vehicle and automatically adjust the stereo.
Of course, the best sound is produced by replacing the factory stereo with a high end device and replacing the car speakers with better ones. You may also want to include an equalizer and an amp so that you are able to get the very best sounds from the new car stereo system.

Problem with switching from a factory stereo to a new stereo?
I own a 1999 chevy blazer, I want to change my factory stereo to a a new one. But the problem is, there is a stereo and a cassete player, if I install the new head unit will the cassete player still work? Because the cassete player is separate from the factory stereo.
If anybody knows if it is possible to make the new stereo and the old cassete player both work, please tell me.
With the proper wire harness it will still work, keep jammin those bon jovi tapes brotha!
