Here are some more information for Flush Cam:

This is the third in a series of articles on program evaluation. You will find the others also posted on this site.
At this point in the process, I am assuming that you already have a mission statement and a list of goals and objectives (outcome statements) for your organization in place. If not, please see my article, "Evaluating Your Program - Begin at the Beginning with your Mission Statement, Goals and Objectives." Have you gotten input on these documents from all of the stakeholders? Have you reached consensus? It is worth the sweat (and perhaps tears) it takes to hammer out a good set of outcome statements. They can save you a lot of work at later stages of this process.
Once all of that is set, we can move on to determining the scope of your evaluation. While the results should, ideally, be useful to all stakeholders, what is the primary reason you are doing this evaluation at this time? Are you trying to demonstrate your overall effectiveness to an accrediting agency or a potential funding source? Are you concerned about the continued need for your program, at least in its current form? Is there a particular component of your program that you suspect is not doing what it is supposed to do? Are you trying to determine if the population you serve is happy with the program? Your answers to these questions will help you determine if you need to do a comprehensive evaluation or one more limited in scope. You may care to do a quick internet search to get more information on summative vs formative evaluations.
If it has been a while since you've done any type of evaluation of your program, or if the evaluation is required by some external entity, a comprehensive evaluation may be called for. In this instance, you will be looking to gather information on the primary indicators of your effectiveness. Depending on what your organization does, examples might include: number of clients served, number who have successfully completed your program, skills that were acquired by the end of the program, or how many showed continued success one year after they completed the program.
You might, however, need a selected evaluation; one more limited in scope. Perhaps things generally seem to be going fine, but you have noticed a pattern or trend in one area that you'd like to know more about. This could be particularly helpful in making an informed decision about changing policies or procedures. Or, perhaps there is some component or department within your organization that is doing particularly well and you'd like to know more. Knowing the sources of that success could help others replicate those same strategies elsewhere.
Once you've decided on the appropriate scope of your evaluation, take a moment to ask yourself a few pragmatic questions. As you currently envision this evaluation, what information do you need and do you have the means to obtain it? Who needs to be involved in order for you to get the information you seek? Can you count on their cooperation? How much time or how radical a change in their day-to-day activities will be required? Keep things in perspective. You don't what the process of evaluating your program to strangle whatever good work you program is doing.
If you're feeling like this article raised more questions than it answered, then I've succeeded. The questions raised here are all important up front work that must be done if there is any chance that the results of the evaluation will be useful. You have to know where you are going if you have any hope of arriving at the correct destination. That's not to say that you'll always get the answer that you'd hoped for, but at least you won't end the process feeling like you asked one question, but got an answer to a different one.
As always, these articles are not intended to replace the need for professional consultation, but to enable you to be more aware of the process as you work with your consultant.
Happy Evaluating!

A Masai Mara Safari Staying At A Great Kenya Safari Camp
Is it a Masai Mara Safari, or a Maasai Mara Safari, the spelling of Masai seems to be different everywhere. Whatever way you spell it, if you want to go to the Masai Mara then one of the best Camps to stay in is undoubtedly the Elephant Pepper Camp.
Elephant Pepper Camp is situated in the Koiyaki Reserve in the northern edge of the Masai Mara at the centre of an area covering over three and a half thousand square kilometers..
With only eight large tents, some double, some twin, with en-suite facilities including flush toilets and the hot bucket style safari showers whenever you want one, and dressing room, this traditional Kenya Safari Camp gives you the proper old fashioned safari camp atmosphere, something not always present in some of the bigger camps and lodges.
Elephant pepper Camp is at an altitude of 5,500 feet, so the nights will be cool after the warm days
The camp is semi permanent and the atmosphere it creates is very much one of Kenya in the 1920's and 30's, which you will really appreciate, and sitting out on your large tented verandah with its small lounge lit by oil lamps creates a really evocative atmosphere.
The main dining area has a help yourself bar, with all drinks except champagne being free, and meals are served family style around a long table. The food is northern Italian cuisine, mixed with some international and local delicacies of the highest quality.
There is also a separate comfortable living area in another part of the two large tents where a fire is lit every evening for the guests to sit around under the incredible African night sky.
What has been created is really a step back into the past, leaving the modern world of television, mobile phones and computers far behind, with no generator, no traffic, no permanent structures to get in the way of seeing wildlife. In fact looking from the camp across the plains you get a first class view of the annual wildebeest migration.
No Masai Mara Safari is complete without close up contact with the animals, and Elephant Pepper Camp takes care of this in a variety of ways.
Firstly as it is a camp, there are no fences so you will see wildlife from your verandah, and you can expect to see elephant, plus giraffe ambling by, and perhaps even cheetah. You know that there are Masai watchmen at night for your safety, and with the wildlife coming that close it is helpful to know this. You will still find the noises of the African bush quite disturbingly close.
Because Elephant Pepper Camp is technically outside the Masai Mara then you can go on Night Game Drives. If you are inside a National Park, then you must be back in camp by dusk. So night drives give you the opportunity to see nocturnal animals.
Game drives during the day are in Land Rovers, and the guides are of the highest quality, very informative. And very personal, so much better than the mini bus operators.
There are guided bush walks with bush breakfasts, and bush sundowners means you can really get the sensation of the vastness of the Masai Mara, and your guides quickly introduce you to a different pace of life that quite frankly is addictive.
You will love Elephant Pepper Camp, You'll love your Masai Mara Safari based here, and this must be one of the best old fashioned Kenya Safari Camps

91 Integra burning oil too quickly...?
If an Integra with mods (i.e. cold air, exhaust, cam, header, etc) is burning oil ridiculously fast, is there a problem with the PCV and/or oil weight? why does it get so hot? Should I flush the radiator?
How can I stop this before having to rebuild the engine... cuz that's a B*&$# at home... lol.
FIrst, go to a power washer and wash the space between the radiator and the A/C condenser. Debris always collects here and inhibits proper air flow. It is a good idea to flush the system, but only GENUINE Honda (Acura) coolant should ever go into this car!!! I have seen heads from older Hondas that look like Swiss cheese from incompatible coolant eating out holes through the aluminum! Also, you might be using an inferior oil or have an unusual amount of sludge on the piston rings. There are only a handful of oils on the market that meet the stringent requirements of Honda. Mobil one, ELF, Castrol. The oil you use should come in a container (not bulk quick-lube oil) that says clearly: "designed for use in Honda). All oils are not the same!! Clean out your idle air control valve and throttle body. Also, check for proper operation of your PCV (and hose). I would buy a can of "Power Tune" from the Mercury boat store, and use it to de-sludge the piston rings. This is done by removing the spark plugs, filling the combustion chamber with the Power Tune, and allowing it to sit for a couple of hours. This will remove the ground in sludgy oil attached to the sides of the rings. Good Luck!!
