For the 2011 model year, the Ford Edge crossover receives a major mid-cycle refresh, changes that go beyond a nip here and a tuck there. Yes, the outside gets a nice refresh, but the inside and what is found underneath the hood is certain to inspire interest in this popular midsize crossover.

And popular the Ford Edge is. Through August 2010, sales of the Edge have pushed past 400,000 units, not bad for a vehicle on the market just under four years. The Ford Edge is the best-selling crossover in its segment and, to date in 2010, has seen sales rise by 30 percent.
But, Ford is not resting on its Edge laurels. New for 2011 is an exterior remake which includes a fresh grille, updated headlamps, new hood and windshield, new tires and updated tail light treatments.
Ford says that the 2011 Edge's shocks, springs and stabilizer bars have been modified to tighten handling. An important characteristic are the shock's high-flow piston, allowing engineers to tune for both road loads and driving dynamics, without taking away from handling or ride. Effectively, drivers will note a more even response through turns and over hills without compromising on a ride comfort.
Inside, the 2011 Ford Edge gains a more absorptive sound pack to help dampen exterior noise and improve acoustics thanks to a new headliner. Interior trim has received several updates including aluminum pedals and metallic leather seat inserts.
Engine Choices
Under the hood, the Ford Edge now offers three powertrain choices including Ford's first application of its all-new 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ecoboost engine. Ecoboost is technology that blends turbocharging with direct fuel injection to squeeze more power, better fuel economy and emit fewer emissions from a smaller engine. That engine is optional; a 3.5-liter V6 is standard; a 3.7-liter V6 is the other option.
All three engine choices are available with either the front- or all-wheel drive versions of the Ford Edge. And, each engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with optional paddle shifters offering a more engaged driving experience.
New Technologies
The 2011 Ford Edge also includes a number of technological improvements including adaptive cruise control which will use a radar to monitor traffic ahead and adjust your speed accordingly, blind spot information system to help you avoid side swiping collisions, capless fuel filter for easy fill ups and MyKey technology which helps parents monitor and limit teenager driving behavior.
Lastly, the five-passenger front-wheel drive Ford Edge returns best in class fuel economy, getting 19 mpg city, 27 highway with the standard engine.

2007 Camp Jeep New York in Outdoors
This year's Camp Jeep New York will be different from two other previous events last 2005 and 2006. For the first time ever, the 2007 Camp Jeep New York will be held outdoors in conjunction with the 2007 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) that will take place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan on April 6 to 15.
The Camp Jeep New York will take place at the Inner Roadway of the Javits Center with an area of 45,000 square feet. More than 35,000 visitors are expected to take participate on the Camp Jeep New York. Participants at the Camp Jeep New York will experience the world’s most capable 4x4 vehicles along with their respective owners and their lifestyle, and a bunch of off-road driving adventures and driving contests. These includes the Jeep Trail Rated Test Track, which includes off-road driving conditions such as water fording, ground clearance, articulation, traction and maneuverability demonstrations. The Jeep Trail Rated Test Track also consists of seven different off-road surfaces like dirt, mulch, gravel, rocks, water, wood and asphalt. Consumers will have a chance to drive in these situations riding some of the 2007 Jeep off-road vehicle models equipped with Jeep radiator hose including Commander, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. In addition, an 18-foot vertical climb on a man made Jeep Mountain is also included, which comprises of more than 220 yards of dirt and mulch.
The Jeep brand has got something more interesting for consumers. One lucky Jeep owner who takes one of the test drive will have a chance to win an all expense package trip with his or her family to Camp Jeep Virginia. The annual Camp Jeep Virginia will take place at the Oak Ridge Estate in Nelson County, near Charlottesville in July 26 to 28. The event is for Jeep owners to have a three-day fun with their Jeep model conducting family friendly activities with other Jeep owners as well as off-road driving experience.
Tim McGraw will perform some of his most popular songs that hit the country music airwaves including "Live like You Were Dying", "Real Good Man", and his recent single "Last Dollar" from his new album "Let It Go."
Meanwhile, going back to the Camp Jeep New York, consumers will also have the opportunity to join other activities at the event including 16-foot climbing wall, play video games, and photo shots in the Jeep Photo Zone where they can take pictures with a Jeep vehicle. In addition, there will be a mini test drive at the Mini Jeep Kidz Course. This will allow kids aged 3 and above to test drive mini Jeep models at the course.

ok what do you think is better a 01 jeep wrangler or 01 ford explorer?
im getting a car soon and i dont know which one is better for me i like to party i want space but i want some power also both have 4x4 so thats not a problem i dont know though which has more power torque and such so if you have any help at all...please id like to hear from so people who own either one but any answers will do.
the jeep will be more fun until you get sick and tires of the noise, discomfort, lack of space and poor performance, then you'll dread getting in it.
get the explorer. all these whiners complaining about quality problems are just running off at the mouth.
the explorer has more power due to a much taller power curve, more space, is more comfortable, safer and handles better. even offroad, a stock explorer versus a stock jeep - the explorer will actually fair just as well if not better. stock jeeps SUCK offroad. people just get all wrapped up in the jeeps/offroad connection and like to act like they know all about it.
