Here are some more information for Gps Disc:

In the past year, advance models like the Garmin 760 has been the best-selling GPS model. Recently, we are witnessing a new trend where basic GPS models are beginning to sell like hotcakes. This may be due to the fact that many high-end GPS models come with lots of features that the average road users would barely use. For that reason, it makes more sense to just pay for what we need.
The Garmin Nuvi 205 has a 4.3-inch screen that displays maps at a 480 x 272 resolution. It is a touch screen with an anti-reflection surface that enable road users to view it easily even under bright sunlight. It has a built-in lithium-ion battery that can give up to 4 hours of battery life.
Like many Garmin GPS devices, the 205 has a gray/black casing, measuring at 4.8 x 0/8 x 2.9 inches and weighing just 6.1 ounces. The SD memory card slot is located on the left side while the USB port and the speaker is located on the back of the device.
The Garmin Nuvi 205 comes loaded with maps of the USA, Canada and depending on where it was bought, an European region. It has the basic 'Where Am I?' feature that would instantly reveal the nearest landmarks and addresses around your current location. This model does not come with live traffic updates but you have the option of subscribing to the service if you really need one. I like to have this choice as there are some expensive models out there that comes with this service, regardless of whether you want it or not. Other features include an image viewer, calculator, 3D map rendering and measurement converters.
The Garmin Nuvi 205 is much faster that older models like the Garmin 200. The device was quick to lock on to satellite signals and gave prompt instructions while you are driving. The menu interface that involves several large icons was also very easy to use thanks to the very responsive touch-screen. Costing just around $170 at the time of writing, the Garmin Nuvi 205 proves to be an excellent buy, and a more-than-enough GPS device for the average road user.

Info on Golf GPS Units
As there are many golf GPS units on the market today, how do you know which one is right for you and is at the best price? In this article we will review features found on the majority of golf GPS units. We will discuss such topics ease of use, the overall cost to purchase and then to use on a yearly basis per unit as well as some of the accessories that should accompany your GPS unit.
Many of the golf GPS units have automatic course recognition when you power the unit on. What does this fancy term mean? It simply means that when you pull up to the first tee box and power up your unit; the unit will recognize the golf course that you are getting ready to play and provide you with the proper information.
Many of the golf GPS units are very easy to use. You simply locate yourself from where you would like a yardage and the GPS technology in the unit will give you the proper yardage to the front middle and to the back of the green. Many of the golf GPS units have a digital readout on a large display that will fit into your pocket or easily attach to your golf bag for easy access.
The cost of the golf GPS units will vary depending on the features on the unit. The pricing of golf GPS units begin around $175 and can reach as much as $500. Keep in mind that rarely does the fun end there as many units have a yearly usage fee to access the golf courses. This fee again varies and some companies will give you a price break for purchasing multiple years up front. Be sure to inquire about if the service is not renewed, how many courses will stay on my unit? This is important as some units will leave up to ten golf courses on your unit and some others will wipe all of them out of your unit.
Most of the golf GPS units come with a rechargeable lithium battery that will hold a charge for 12 hours at a time as well as a belt clip, USB cable, setup disc, & wall charger. So even on the monster 36-hole golf days, your GPS unit will be there for you through both rounds of golf. The last thing that that you want to have happen to your GPS unit during your round is to have your battery run out of juice on you. That will ruin your experience at any golf course.
In this article we have given you an overview of what you should expect when purchasing of a golf GPS unit. We discussed the ease of use, the overall cost to use the unit per year and some of the accessories that should accompany your GPS unit. A GPS unit will allow you to improve your golf game as you will always have the correct yardage off of the tee or into the green. In addition, you will become more precise with your wedges as you will always have the exact number to the front center and back of the green.

Why are GPS Sat map update prices sooooo expensive???
You can buy a top of the range UBD or gregorys street directory for around $50.... but yet to buy the same on a disk for my GPS Its 100+ up to 300...
I would think its harder and more expensive to print it on paper....
Why is it so?
that's how they make money from the updates.
My 2010 BMA Ballot: Song Of The Year, Band Of The Year
At last, we have arrived at the big moment. The bags are packed, GPS is programmed and the car is (mostly) loaded. I have a few more odds and ends to line up but then it's on to Memphis and the 2010 Blues Music Awards tomorrow night at the Cook Convention Center.
