Here are some more information for Huge Power:

You would think that running a car or a generator off nothing but compressed air is a pipe dream, and you would be right: metal high-pressure pipes and plastic low-pressure pipes. And yes, they exist, and yes, they are viable components in viable systems that store vast amounts of energy with great efficiency, and release it to do just what the first few words of this article suggest.
For almost a decade now, various companies have worked on a concept to drive small cars in urban environments, using only compressed air. Various claims were made but not carried out by Guy Nègre for Luxembourg-based MDI for an Indian company named TaTa. The basic premises in the total design were valid, but the money did not materialize to carry the concept to fruition. Several working cars using the air engine were built and tested over short distances, but the air storage and compression technology was not ready for prime time.
Not that the concept is not workable: au contraire, as they say in France. We have air engines doing work all over the world: air-driven impact wrenches and other air tools do work powerfully and more reliably than their electric counterparts every day, provided there is a compressor nearby. Compressors can fill air tanks that can be carried off-site to fill tires and run tools for a short amount of time.
But driving an engine that can move a car is a different story: that requires compressing air to much higher pressure levels, and storing it in tanks that hold extreme pressure while weighing very little themselves. So, carbon fiber, the low-weight, high-strength material of the future, was designed into the air car for storage tanks. An all-aluminum piston engine was designed, since there was no combustion to melt or warp engine parts. In theory, the concept could work to drive a car 500 miles, if the engine is designed properly, and the car is light-weight but strong. The engine does not even need to be piston-driven: designs have been proposed using principles borrowed from Wankel engines, turbines, and even Archimedes screws. Don't give up: it'll happen eventually.
Even the internal combustion engine took years to develop into a viable powerplant. Today, more than a hundred years after its inception, its development continues to make it more efficient, more reliable, and less prone to emitting pollution.
And now, we go to a new development that stores energy from air to compressed air. First of all, it is much cheaper, easier and less expensive, not to mention way more efficient, to store energy as compressed air than as electricity in batteries. With air storage, you lose only about 10% of the energy between generation and release. Compare that with all other means, which lose at least 20%. So to that end, some time ago, a depleted salt mine was used in an experiment: pump water into an underground chamber left by mining, then pump out the water, leaving the dissolved salt on the surfaces of the chamber to glass over, leaving an airtight membrane, and use it to store energy in the form of compressed air, to be used later to drive air-powered generators. The concept is in use now in a few locations where plenty of empty, cheap land is available to build wind turbines, combined with some depleted underground salt domes. Of course, places like that are few and far between.
However, the best place for wind turbines, due to more abundant wind blowing harder and more often, is offshore. Until now, because there are no mines below the ocean, the wind storage idea could not be used offshore. Enter a fellow named Professor Seamus Garvey, from the University of Nottingham, England. He has invented a type of pleated storage bag that can be tethered hundreds of feet below the ocean surface, then pressurized with air as a huge wind "turbine" (mill) on the surface mechanically powers a compressor, which can drive a generator to make electricity.
All excess pressure is ferried through a pipe system to the airbags. The airbags, positioned below a lot of water exerting lots of pressure on the bags, are pressurized to only 4 times normal air pressure over the pressure it takes to overcome being imploded by the water pressure, so the material does not have to be extremely thick or strong to do the job, because there is no tensile stress overall on the surface of the bag.
When electricity demand is high, or when there is not much wind, pressure from the bags, huge in scale, is released to the surface through the same tubing, to run the generators. If this is done on a large enough scale, used in tandem with tidal generators and wave generators, it should be sufficient to power even large coastal cities cleanly and cheaply.

Assessing your Backup Power Supply needs
Businesses cannot rely on AC supply alone for efficient production and high quality performance. The importance of backup power supply cannot be underestimated. Businesses need to continue functioning smoothly even during power outages. Having backup supplies to power computer systems is critical for the storage and operation of critical data. Further, large corporations invest accordingly into maintaining effective backup systems that support heavy machinery as well.
Power backup systems are used across different industries such as:
-
Laboratories
-
Hospitals
-
Telecommunication companies
-
Mechanized manufacturing units
The size of the backup power supply depends on industry-specific requirements. Of late, the backup power supply systems have also crossed over to the household section. Individuals often use backup power systems at home.
Types of Backup Power Supply
Backup power supply includes power generators or stand by UPS (uninterrupted power supply). A UPS is a must-have as it lets you continue working despite power outages.
Other types of backup power supply are:
-
Power generators: Installing power generators ensures constant power availability totally independent of the AC supply. These devices generate power for business operations. This, in turn, is fed into the main power supply channels through trigger and switching devices.
-
UPS: These devices store power as their main reserve when the main supply is on. The UPS automatically begins supplying reserve power to all the attached equipments in case of a power outage.
Some high-end backup power supply systems use advanced technologies such as flywheel energy storage and hydrogen-fuel cells.
Backup Power Supply Technology
Backup power supply systems (specifically, the UPS) rely on three different technologies to carry out their operations:
1. Offline/standby: This is a very basic form of backup power supply. It protects the user from main supply fluctuations. It also features a voltage transient clamping device to measure main supply. When the voltage falls below a pre determined level, the UPS begins to supply reserve power. Also, standby UPS systems are not always reliable since they do not provide battery monitoring functions.
2. Line interactive: These are similar to the standby systems, but offer better quality main supply input through an advanced filtering process.
3. Online / double conversion: These high-end UPS systems can rectify noisy power environment. They have a huge power storage capacity and offer a clean input supply. This can make them highly expensive.
The backup power supply system is necessary to ensure overall performance, dependability and productivity. As an authorized dealer of top manufacturers, CyPower offers access to more than 5000 power supply units. Research, inquire and make an informed choice by visiting www.cypower.com

Do Core2duo & dual core have huge difference in processing power justifying the big price difference btw them?
I know the technological difference between Dual core and core2duo processors. I want to know if there is an extremely high difference between their processing power which cannot be compensated by using more RAM and AGP card because there is a huge price gap between the two??
In other words will there be a high or marginal processing difference between the two compared to huge difference in their prices
I assume you're talking about the Pentium Dual Core series.
If so, the answer is that it depends what you're doing. The Pentium Dual Core is basically a Core 2 Duo with a lesser L2 memory cache (1MB as opposed to the C2D's 3 or 6MB). It makes a big difference if you're doing something CPU intensive such as gaming or some such thing, but for the average home user there isn't a significant difference between the C2D series and the Pentium Dual Cores.
British parties hail 'positive' power-sharing talks
Britain's Conservatives and Liberal Democrats held "very positive" power-sharing talks Sunday seeking to break the country's post-election stalemate, they said.
