What is it that makes a Harley Davidson so appealing? For bikers it is a conviction and a passion, 4 wheels move the body but 2 wheels move the soul. It's that same feeling that makes you look for a Harley ride right now. Harleys don't stand a chance against those lightning speed superbikes, but there is something about a Harley Davidson that most people dream of owning and riding one. It is more of a passion for the brand first and then second, the activity. These bikes are a lot of things to a lot of people. It is recognition of a lifelong dream, a chance to own a piece of history, a shot to belong to an elite group, and the list goes on. Bottom line is a Harley Davidson is a legacy of pride and something truly unique. Harley's are pricey, that being the reason you do not see as many compared to other vehicles around. Despite this, still, a lot of people dream of owning if not driving one. It is not entirely having one but the experience of riding or driving one. Harley rides have paved the way to turn these dreams into reality. With today's technology, it's very easy to look for an outfitter with a click of a mouse; here are some tips that will help you sign up for the best one.
1. Do the research. Find out the types of Harleys used in the tours and check which one is suitable for you. Though Harleys are made for long distance travelling, there are some specifications such as weight, handle bar reach and others that can contribute to the enjoyment of the ride. Harley ride outfitters maybe able to help you with this as you send your enquiry. You may also check blog sites and forums for insight and recommendations.
2. It's fantastic to find a Harley ride company that offers a wide array of models you can tour and ride on, one thing to look for is the availability of a support vehicle. Support vehicles can carry your luggage and a spare bike just in case something unprecedented happens to yours.
3. Make certain of the luggage allowed on every trip. Harley rides are mostly done in groups and you will be sharing some support vehicle space with others who have their own paraphernalia as well.
4. Cost, the best way to plan a Harley tour is to know what you really need. Some tours get to be so expensive because unnecessary add ons are injected into the package. It would be best to get a tour that you can personalize according to your needs.
5. If the duration of the ride gets too much for you, make sure that you get to have strategically planned stopovers for rejuvenating as well as giving the bike a rest. It is good to check for any mobile accommodation on the trip. One that can pack in a spare bike and rider just in case you will not be able to complete the tour. This is usually provided by the support vehicle.
6. Check the tour route. Things that you should be particular on are the climate, road condition, stopovers and accommodation. Get familiarized with the itinerary; even if you will be travelling with a tour leader, it pays to have knowledge of your route.
7. Study some Aussie climate & geography. If you are new to Australia or plan on doing a Harley ride in another territory, it is good to check the climate and geographical conditions of you preferred Harley Davidson ride location. The outback can be harsh during high summer; similarly travel in northern and central Australia is not advised due to extreme weather conditions. Hotter months are ideal for travel along coastal areas.
You are now a step closer to that Harley dream, the next step is to do number one and book your trip to making your Harley dreams come true!

Subaru Unveils Re-designed Legacy and Outback at the 2007 Naias
Subaru of America Inc. has unveiled its re-designed 2008 Subaru Legacy and Outback models at the 2007 North American International Auto Show at the Cobo Hall. Subaru has also presented its new flagship sedan - the Subaru legacy 3.0 R Limited which is the world’s first ever 6 cylinder Legacy model for the North American market.
Subaru is the industry’s pioneer of AWD or All-Wheel Drive. Recently, it has equipped all its models with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as a standard feature. The Legacy 3.0 R is produced to compete against the midsize All-Wheel Drive performance sedans but unlike its rivals the 3.0 R has something more to offer like its performance-oriented paddle-shift transmission along with the Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) performance-control plus Bilstein Sport Suspension and 18 inch wheels and tires.
Each of the 2008 Legacy and Outback model lines are distinguished by its revised styling which features new grille complete with chrome crossbars plus a central Subaru logo that embodies the automaker’s aeronautical heritage. The 2008 Subaru Legacy features an all-new front sheet metal with larger grille opening. It also has new front and rear bumper fascias which are designed to reduce overhangs to provide it with a sportier and a more contemporary looks. Its brand new lines of Subaru parts for its headlights and taillights further boost the aesthetic appeal of the Legacy.
The Subaru Outback for its part was equipped with a new front sheet metal but with a larger and more upright grille that gives it a bolder look. It also equipped with re-designed fenders and hood for a more rugged appearance. The Outback was also given new fog lights and new wheels for both the XT and the rest of the six-cylinder models.
Both the Outback and the Legacy were given redesigned instrument panels and revised interior fabrics. Some features were also made standard for the Outback and Legacy lines such as the telescopic steering column and the new integrated ignition key/remote entry unit. Likewise, the distinctive electroluminescent gauges which are formerly found only on the turbo Legacy and Outback models are made part of the 2008 6-cylinder models.
The premium models will also be given a redesigned steering wheel with additional controls, including the audio system, cruise control, the multi-information display and separate SI-DRIVE controls. The advanced Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) stability and traction system are also going to be offered for a number of Legacy and Outback models same with the Tire pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) which is now made into a standard feature among the Legacy and Outback models.

Does anyone own a subaru outback or legacy?
I was interested in the Toyota Rav 4...but haven't been reading very good reviews. Subaru is my next choice...
Do you own an outback or legacy? Have you enjoyed owning on? Any regrets?
Subarus are great cars. They last a long time, don't seem to have that many problems, are speedy. Some of the Outback models have absolutely tiny backseats so if you have alot of people you will be regularly transporting may want to look at that.
