OK, here's my opinion, and it might not be the most popular. From my personal experience, pre-packaged subwoofers in a box are usually more affordable. Yes, this deal is good and it will probably sound good. MTX is just a better quality sub. It's always just a better idea to go to shop that has the knowledge and let them help you out. 600 watts RMS is almost a little hard to believe for that price. Just remember each company of audio equipment does their own wattage judgement. If it says 500 watts on one thing, is not going to 500 watts on another. It will be a difference each time.
I've bought packaged 12''s in a box and blew them out. I've bought packaged deal JL audio 10''s in a box and shot them out as well. Keep in mind your speakers will only sound as good as your amplifier will let them.
I would say save your money get the MTX's in a ported box for the loudness, but ported box's also allow more distortion. Or at least more noticeable distortion.
