My honda navgation disc will not read?
i have a 2005 honda accord and it shows "read disc error". I checked to see if the disc had a problem and it worked fine in another Acura. Should I replace my dvd player in the trunk or should i try to clean it.
What about a way to reset it?
The disc reading error is usually related to the disc, not to the DVD in the trunk
here's what the owner's manual says
Check the DVD disc surface for deep scratches or other damage. Make sure you are using an official Honda navigation DVD (orange in color). The system cannot read other mapping databases or video DVDs. If the problem persists, see your dealer.
if you tried it in an Acura and it worked, did you try the disc from the Acura in yours to see if yours worked with the other disc? there are different versions of the disc and if you don't have the right disc for your car you'll get that message.
