If small bottles of acrylic craft paint dry out (they were never opened) can they be reconstituted?
Was it just water in there, so that if I add water they will be okay, or is there some other kind of liquid in them? These are the small bottles of cheap paint for crafting, by Folk Art. Found a whole bag that I had never opened but I can see the paint inside has gone solid. Thanks for any help!
If the paint has gone rock hard, throw it out.
If its still soft, put in some lacquer thinner to redissolve it.
Once its completely redissolved, let most of the lacquer thinner evaporate and then mix it with an acrylic based clear paint into a consistency that you can apply with a brush.
Of course you need to observe all precautions when handling thinners and paint.
