What is the size of the OEM fan on a 05 dodge 2500 diesel, looking to change to electric fan.?
I own a 05 ram 2500 diesel, and want to change out the OEM fan with a flex a lite electic fan, but they do not make one for this year ram, so will have to go with a universal fit fan. But not that mechanicaly inclined so need someones help if they can tell me the size of the stock fan. Any help would be great.
I will repeat the previous answer. Stay with the original. Flex lite will not cool this monster.
The strongest fan I know of was in the mid 90's Ford Taurus and pulled around 50 amps on high speed. I doubt what you are looking at is even close to that and this is not even close to the mechanical fan you have.
This is an industrial engine, no a light duty car engine...or for that matter a light duty diesel. It is designed for construction machinery and is very lightly loaded in this application. Be glad you went this way.
