In conclusion, cheaper is not always better, and make sure you know what you are purchasing. If you have to have an aftermarket version, do some research to see what others have to say about it first. If you're looking for an OEM part, make sure to read the labeling carefully, in order to confirm that it is not an aftermarket part disguised with phrases like "Exact Replacement Part."

I have a 2003 VW Jetta with a slightly bent rear axle and slightly bent rims. How much $ to have it fixed?
The axle only causes poor tire alignment, but the shop says it needs to be straightened or replaced to work properly. Also can the rims (upgraded 17" VW OEM sport rims) be straightened or do they have to be replaced?
It's better to have them replaced than straightend, there really isn't much of a difference in cost anyway. In your case, be prepared to pay as much for labor as with parts.
