The used car segment is witnessing growth owing to factors like increasing numbers of OEMs entering pre-owned automobile industry, favourable demographics, the changing lifestyle of Indians and user choice. Also, car loans can more easily be availed on used cars and online portals too play an important role by educating users on the feasibility of buying used automobiles. However, the main challenges that the used car market in India faces are the boom of cheaper new cars, the restricted choice and the extra costs that pre-owned auto buyers bear in addition to the annoyance of checking various documents.
We already know that nearly 85 per cent of the used car market is unorganized. The car agents play a very significant role in connecting sellers and buyers. Purchase high quality truck rims and OEM wheel for your vehicle
The truck rims form an important component of the truck wheels as these heavy weight vehicles transport goods and materials over hard terrain surfaces and travel longer distances. In regards to the trucks, the OEM wheel can play a major part in forming the part of this vehicle. The OEM wheel with its durability and high quality finishing can provide the required stability to the truck and make it travel smoothly on any surface.
The diameter and the width of the truck rims are crucial in determining the overall wheel size. In case of OEM wheel, this rim size is measured specific to the truck and manufactured in such a manner that the truck rims width fits perfectly into the wheel. There is no chance of narrow or wide truck rims while the OEM wheel is manufactured for the trucks.
The truck rims are manufactured by bending the metal plates and forming a cylindrical sleeve. This is due to the fact that for wide rims, the sidewalls of the wheel will get very little space to flex itself while the truck runs over rough surfaces. This can lead to the tyres rubbing against each other while the truck takes a turn.
Having narrow rims is also a big disadvantage for the truck. This leads to very poor handling for the truck wheel. While travelling through narrow bends and corners the wheels may distort and collapse due to these narrow rims. During fast cornering also if the rims are narrow then it will cause the wheels to distort and move sideways. Sometimes this may lead to the tyre being sliced or worn out during the course of the journey. It may also lead to improper braking, as the wheel may not be able to handle the required pressure from the brakes as the truck screeches to a halt in emergency.
Therefore, it is important to have custom made or OEM type wheels for the truck to ensure that all the preventive measures are taken care of and confirmed. The OEM wheels are according to the brand and make of the truck thereby providing the necessary grip and smoothness to the truck on any surface. These OEM type wheels are available in many options and are custom made to suit particular surface as applicable for the trucks. Since these OEM components have brand names and strict industry standards, the cost associated with these OEM type wheels are a bit higher than the normal aftermarket wheels.

Involved in an accident - insurance company wants to use non oem parts?
to repair my car. My car only has 25,000 miles and is still under warranty. Toyota says if i use non oem parts my warranty will be void. Can i demand oem parts be used?
I love this question, it is by far the one I get the most about car claims at work.
Frankly, the insurance company doesn't owe you for brand new OEM parts for a car with 25k miles on it. It doesn't matter how old the car is.
The basic premise of insurance is to put you back in the position you were in just prior to the accident. You had used parts with 25k miles on them so if the company paid you for brand new parts you end up in a better position then you were and that is not allowed. I have handled a few cases where people sued over this issue when they want brand new parts instead of used ones. They haven't won yet.
To answer your question, you can demand whatever you want, but whether you get it is another question entirely.
Personally, I have used non-oem parts on rebuilt vehicles for myself and my kids. Some are great some, not so great. If you are concerned about the warranty (I'm no lawyer, but I doubt Toyota can void your warranty over non-oem parts) with non-oem parts then you have 2 options.
1. Put the brand new oem parts on and you pay the extra cost because the company doesn't owe you for brand new parts, since you didn't have brand new parts at the time of the accident.
2. Request a used (also callled LKQ = Like Kind Quality) OEM part. That way it's a part that Toyota made only it is used. I have had people request this instead of non-oem parts (also called aftermarket parts). I will go along with this as long as the used parts can be located and I always cover 100% of the cost without the vehicle owner paying anything for the used parts it is a reasonable request.
