Here are some more information for Porsche Cayenne:

In the world of the supercar there are many pretenders to the crown, who are all striving to be considered the fastest, sportiest and most stylish model in their class. Vying and jockeying for position amongst these manufacturers lies the three brands that automatically jump to mind when you think of the word "supercar"; Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari.
Two of these three pioneers of automotive design and engineering excellence have all been slightly off the boil in recent years. Porsche have been releasing cars that could barely raise the blood pressure of a Gnat, never mind a fully grown sports car enthusiast. The models such as the Cayenne and the Cayman S have been, well, ill-conceived at best. They seem to be solely designed to cater for a market which doesn't exist; the rather boring speed-freak.
Lamborghini on the other hand have gone completely over the top; maintaining the kind of over-enthusiastic, pantomime sensibilities that we have all come to expect from supercars. However, these fulsome characteristics have rendered Lamborghini models such as the Gallardo and Murcielago as little more than play things for drives out at the weekend.
Somewhere in the middle of this supercar barometer lies Ferrari, who to their credit have consistently walked the line between style and speed, wild and restrained. The particular model to have caught my eye is the Ferrari 599, which has amply displayed all of the marvellous heritage that comes with the Ferrari badge.
If you are interested in owning a 599, I would recommend checking the Used Ferrari market as this is where you can find the closest thing to a supercar bargain. Due to the depreciation in value of used supercars, you can find nearly new models with tens of thousands knocked off their normal retail price.

Porsche Unveils 2008 Cayenne at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show
Porsche is such an amazing company that manages to earn great profit out from their small line of expensive cars and aside from the fact that their sports cars continue to be among the top selling models in the market. Porsche’s first-generation Cayenne has been one the company’s successful models and that is even before the debut of the 2008 Cayenne at the Detroit Auto Show.
The 2008 Cayenne range contains little changes but is equipped with top-of-the-line Porsche parts which simply show that Stuttgart’s designers are more concerned with quality and not so much into dramatic restyling. The 2008 Cayenne has an overall shape that is aggressive and slightly refreshed but can be instantly recognized as a Porsche Cayenne. The visible changes are seen up front, where the headlights are given a sharper design while the air intakes are enlarged.
The $94k Cayenne Turbo model which is a top-of-the-line model gets the LED light cluster-bars from the 911 Turbo which according to Porsche will remain a distinctive design feature that will differentiate turbo models across the range. The said features are said to be much better, design-wise than the huge ducts and vents on the ongoing Cayenne Turbo which differentiates it from the base Cayenne and Cayenne S.
Facts on the Porsche Cayenne
The Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size luxury SUV manufactured by the German automaker Porsche since 2002. It is also the first V8-engined vehicle produced by Porsche since 1995-- the same year when Porsche 928 was discontinued. The sales of the Cayenne as of June 2005 has reached 100,000 - considered to be the one of Porsche’s best selling vehicle in the North America and covered 40% of Cayenne’s total North American sales. However by 2006 the sales of Cayenne declined.
The design of the Cayenne was developed in partnership with Volkswagen which at the time was looking for a sports utility vehicle to add to their lineup. Volkswagen has shared its E chassis to boost their Touareg sports utility vehicle. The Cayenne shares only its base engine with the Touareg while Porsche’s version is substantially modified. At present there are four engines available in the Cayenne and these are as follows:
• 3.2 L 240 PS (237 hp/177 kW) VR6 from Volkswagen (Based on the unit offered in the VW but with modifications made to the intake, exhaust, timing systems and head)
• 4.5 L 340 PS (335 hp/250 kW) V8 (S)
• 4.5 L 450 hp (340 kW) 460 ft•lbf (624 N•m) twin-turbocharged V8 (Turbo)
• 4.5 L 500 hp (370 kW) 515 ft•lbf (698 N•m) T equipment twin-turbocharged V8
• 4.5 L 521 hp (389 kW) 531 ft•lbf (720 N•m) twin-turbocharged V8 (Turbo S)

How do can I set my garage door remote to one of the preset buttons in my '08 Porsche Cayenne?
I don't have the manual since it was missing at the dealership and haven't received it in the mail yet. There are spare buttons that I was told can be set to my garage door and was wondering how to do that. Would love to get rid of my remote that is constantly falling off my visor! Anyone know?
Mine was the only '08 model at the dealership otherwise I would have the manual. the dealer thinks another seller misplaced it, no big deal...
You probably have rolling codes. If so,
1) press the two outer buttons on the in-car remote until you get a fast blink (this erases everything).
2) Then, press and hold the button you want to program and the remote control (that came with the door opener) at the same time.
3) Hold until the blink goes faster, then release.
4) Then -- and don't delay much here -- get to the door opener unit itself (box in the ceiling) find the button for training, press it, make sure a little light comes on.
5) Get back in your car and press and hold the same button you've been programming again. Again wait until it flashes fast before you let go.
Should work now.
If you do not have rolling codes, steps 1-3 should suffice.
Some times the garage door opener is not strong enough to program it...this may be a problem. Be sure you get fresh batteries or try the other remote you get with the opener.
