Cd To Tapes?
Hi, I want to record from CD into a recordable cassette tape
to listen in walkman, Is the following a good idea
I was wondering if I can find a cable from a boombox to a portable cassette recorder
Cause I am copying cds to tape-
will this work if I get a cable with 3.5 mm jacks on each end
and plug one end in the boombox headphone jack and other end in the mic jack –
will this work – do you think this works if i get
you need is a 3.5mm to a 3.5mm male connector. This can be found in most electronics stores.
Although you can find a cable, and the connections are there on the boombox and the cassette recorder you can't do what you want to. The headphone jack output is much too strong for the mic jack input. The signal would be overloaded and you would get a very distorted sound.
Your best bet would be to get a cable with 3.5 mm jack on one end and two RCA plugs on the other and use someone's cassette tape deck with RCA inputs. Or you might be able to find someone with a boombox that has both a cd player and tape recorder - some of them allow you to tape from the CD to the tape deck.
