The light output is extremely bright. Even in a well lit room you'll light up the room even more. You can compare the light output on this Fenix flashlight to a halogen headlight on a quality car. The only difference is that the light from the flashlight is more tightly focused as where a car headlight is designed to spill light out in multiple directions.
