Whar is a memory wire for in a car radio wiring harness?
I have a 92 Honda Accord DX and just bought a radio for it. I hooked up all the wires correctly( i think ) except for the memory wire and it doesn't even turn on. What does the memory wire do? Is there something else I'm missing?
The memory wire is the constant 12V source that's not switched on and off with the key. In most after-market head units, it's also the main power wire. If you don't connect this wire, the radio won't work.
