Here are some more information for Refurb Warranty:

Nowadays, we could sometimes see laptops that seem to have been priced lower than we can imagine --- these are called refurbished products. Some people would think that refurbished products are the same as a low quality product. Well, it's time to take a harder second look.
Lets try to tackle down some other definition, shall we? OK, lets start from items which are returned by customers for some reasons like changing the product of another quality or simply because they weren't very satisfied with the features. When it comes to refurbished laptops for example, the product was obviously not been used a lot. The store or seller then will usually reseal the package and sell it in a lower price or make it a discounted item. This item is considered as a refurbished product.
Another one of these refurbished laptops are those products that does not pass the quality check because of failure of some of its parts and instead of disposing it, the manufacturer would rebuild it so that it could pass the quality control. They would then sell it at a discounted price as well.
Other products that are considered as furbished products are those used as floor or demonstration models. They are usually priced lower than the regular price for it may incur little scratches but still works as better as those still in the box. Choosing this kind of refurbished products can be of advantage because this item has been tested and presented publicly and has proved that it is still of a good quality.
Let me provide you with some of the benefits of refurbished products to consumers: If the same length of time is given to its warranty than a brand new one, why do you have to pay for a higher price for the same quality? The warranty is already there, a guarantee that the laptop is secured from defects. Another benefit is that some of the parts that malfunctioned were modified and upgraded to a higher quality than the regular parts.
In other words, it won't hurt to buy a refurbished product because the store usually gives out a warranty the same as that of a brand new, sealed and boxed. Always remember that the key on refurbished products is the warranty. If you are not completely convinced with the quality or brand name on refurbished laptops, try to search online about guides on how to choose your laptops. So don't get scared when someone actually tries to sell a refurbished laptop. You might just score a big buy.

Why Buy a Refurbished Pc?
Why buy a refurbished PC? The quick answer is price. But we realise the term “refurbished” conjures up images of out-of date and undesirable PC equipment. So we wanted to clear up a few myths and explain why buying refurbished PCs from Europc is a great way to get brand name IT equipment for less.
What is “refurbished”?
Unlike many preconceptions, refurbished PCs aren’t second-hand. They can be excess, fully factory refurbished, as new or cancelled orders straight from the factory, packed and boxed – the same as the units on the shelves of your local PC store or in a manufacturer’s warehouse.
More often than not, refurbished machines are PCs that were returned by the original customer simply because they changed their mind. Moreover, chain stores, for example, may return items unsold if they need to clear space for new stock. However, the minute they leave the manufacturer’s warehouse, they can no longer be sold as new. So companies such as Dell, sell these to us directly.
Not only are the systems tested, repaired, checked and repackaged just like new, but they’re not far off new when Europc puts them back on sale. They are mainly current product or not more than six months old.
The benefits of refurbished
The most obvious benefit of purchasing refurbished equipment is the lower cost. The savings made allow customers to replace, expand or upgrade their IT equipment more often, letting them take advantage of the rapid advancements in PC technology, keeping them up to date and ahead of everyone else.
Moreover, by purchasing from a company like Europc, you are offered a more personalised service, than you would receive elsewhere as we provide all customers with their own personal account manager.

Some Myths About Refurbished PCs Dispelled
Myth: Refurbished goods could be faulty
Truth: Many refurbs will have been returned by the original customer. But only a limited number of returned units ever had a fault in the first place, and if there was one, it’ll have been fixed - that’s what refurbishment is all about. After being returned, the product will have been tested, repaired (where necessary), retested and repacked. Insiders tell us that refurb units are actually less likely than new kit to go wrong, because they’ve passed more tests.
Myth: Refurbs are products of obscure origin
Truth: The biggest players in the computer market are increasingly supplying the largest numbers of refurbished units. Names like Dell, Fujitsu Siemens, HP and Toshiba are easy to find. Myth: You don’t have the same rights as usual
Truth: Yes, you do. You may be offered a shorter warranty (though 12 months is still possible), and minor cosmetic flaws, such as small scratches, are less likely to be considered grounds for a refund, though they’re still not the norm. Beyond that, consumer law doesn’t care whether you buy brand new or refurbished, and you can expect a good standard of customer service.
Myth: Refurbished computers are out of date
Truth: You can certainly pick up older machines for incredibly low prices, but most refurbished PCs are very recent or still current models. It’s not at all unusual to find huge discounts on exactly the same products that are on the shelves right now. That’s what makes buying refurbished such a useful way to make your cash go further.

Should i buy a used PS3 from gamestop?
I'm wanting to get a ps3, so far i have about $350.
i can get a 40gb refurb from gamestop for $350. is this worth it, and can you get a warranty from gamestop???
i already have a 360, i want the ps3 for games like LBP, MGS4, and Killzone 2.
i don't really need much memory, i don't download a whole lot. i just want to know if gamestop's used systems can be trusted.
Here's the way to go. . . .
You should get a used 20gb . . . . .
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=64005
Then buy a HDD upgrade for it . . . .
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9024147&st=2.5+SATA&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1218012522486
You can go to You Tube and search "PS3 HDD Upgrade" to see some informational vids on how to swap HDD's. Its really easy.
This way you will have a Fully Backwards compatible PS3 (the 20gb and 60gb models are able to play PS2 games too) with a 250gb HDD.
Trust me you'll love all the extra space. And yes, get the 1 yr. warranty.
I got a 60gb PS3 a week after launch (The Gamestop I go to didn't get enough PS3's to go around the first week) and put that very same 250gb HDD into my PS3 and it is awesome. I have about 30 different Game Data Saves, over 2,000 songs, 1,500 digital camera pictures, 13 full length movies, 32 episodes of Family Guy, as well as a bunch of game demos and trailors on my PS3. Not to mention about 5 or 6 games I downloaded off the PS Store.
Get the beefed up HDD. It really turns your PS3 into a full media center.
Good Luck. Feel free to email with any other PS3 related questions.
