However, buying a GPS can be difficult as the market is full of different models, all offering a variety of new features.
As a result of this here are some things you should remember before buying a GPS.
1) In the current market there are three types of sat-nav available. These are known as integrated based systems, plug and go systems and portable systems.
Integrated based systems: This type of sat-nav is installed within a car and interacts with the other aspects of your car. The main problem with this system is the price tag. On the other hand the system will blend into your car and not be cumbersome.
Plug and go systems: These sat-navs are much cheaper than integrated ones and can be used in any car. The only down side to this sat-nav system is its size and it can be they run a risk of being stolen, as they are easily removed from your car.
Portable Systems: The best portable option and the cheapest because you can install them straight onto your phone. The main problem with these sat-navs is the maps are displayed on a small mobile phone display and the phone charges can be costly.
2) Following this, you need to think about the size and visibility of the screen. The system display should keep a high standard of quality in bright light and poorly lit conditions, the screen should always remain clearly visible. You want to avoid situations where you could be driving along and then be unable to see your sat-nav screen. It needs to be highly visible, non-reflective and bright enough to be seen during a brief glance.
3) The GPS coverage is another important factor. You need to feel assured that your system won't stop working just because you drive through an obscure location. You don't want to get lost somewhere and your sat-nav has crashed and doesn't supply a suitable route back home. Be sure to research as many of the ratings, reviews and the specifications of certain GPS models.
4) Check that your system provides text and voice directions. These features are important for two reasons: Firstly, you should be keeping your eyes on the road whilst driving so reading instructions isn't an option, therefore audio instructions are very useful. Secondly, the visual directions can be very useful if you want to go over what was just said, in case you missed them the first time.
5) Are there any extra features offered? A lot of navigation systems can give you tips on common traffic congestion areas and the locations of speed cameras. Features such as these ensure that you don't get stuck in traffic and can allow you to slow down before you come to a speed camera.

How I Found the Best iPod Earbuds Ever
All good things must come to an end, and that definitely includes the Apple earbuds originally packaged with my iPod. Those minimalistic white 'buds got the job done. Although they never matched my black 30G iPod very well, I was genuinely sorry to see them go. When they bit the dust after I spent a long summer hiking, running, and doing outdoor work, I think I might have actually cried--although it could have been sweat.
Clearly, however, it was time to reload. And I determined that this time around I would not only find earbuds for my iPod that meshed visually, I would also try and upgrade the sound quality. One problem: I had no money. Well, not literally, but in the broke-college-student sense of the phrase. If I shelled out $100 on earbuds, I would be eating noodles in a cup for the next month.
There were a few other complicating elements too, like the fact that I wanted the new 'buds to do a better job blocking external sound, and I didn't want them to fall out of my ears when I bent my head to one side to take a sip of coffee without sloshing it on my textbooks.
Where did that leave me? It left me with very high design and style demands and a budget that could barely lace up a pair of Chuck Taylors. To be honest, I wasn't sure I would be able to do better than another factory model pair. But I started looking around online, and stumbled across the V-MODA "Bass Freq" earbuds. They caught my eye because they came in a half dozen colors. When I clicked around to read reviews and user comments, I experienced a buzzing sensation in my eardrums--was the return of quality iPod music about to happen?
Here's what my research revealed.
1. The V-MODA "Bass Freq" model had won awards from CNET and MacWorld.
2. They apparently did a good job with noise cancellation, without batteries.
3. They came with rubber earbud cones in various sizes for adjustable fit.
4. The 'buds were praised for their bass kick and crisp treble notes.
5. They were shipped in designer colors (red, orange, green, blue, black, silver, pink).
6. They fell inside my narrow price range.
I decided the give them a shot, and ordered a pair of the V-MODA earbuds. I opted for "tambarine orange"--not because I am a hippy, but because my black iPod has always wanted tiger stripes. About a week later, my package arrived from Amazon. After it sat on the couch for a week, I got around to opening it. Actually, I ripped it open in the elevator and was listening to Iron & Wine and Radiohead about two minutes later.
What I heard made me smile. As promised, the bass notes rocked and the middle and high notes came through with clarity. These earbuds sounded better than the Apple originals, and they also scored a notch higher in the style department.
As I write this article, I've owned by original pair of 'buds for about 10 months, and they're still in use. I've ordered additional pairs as gifts, and given this model the honorary title of "Best Earbuds Ever."
You know, Best Ever for less than $30. When I graduate, I'll see what else V-MODA has on the market.

Can I use the graphing calculator on my iPod Touch for my SAT Subject Test Math Level IIC?
I live in Mumbai, India.
No, I believe you can only use the specified calculators they let you use. They don't allow media devices like iPods, despite their capabilities. You can probably ask collegboard.
