Here are some more information for Satellite Antenna:

Investing in a satellite dish or antenna will provide you will more choices in home entertainment due to the increased reception for television stations. You can save money by performing the installation yourself, but there are some things you should consider before installing either an antenna or satellite dish your roof. This will result in an easier installation without complications later. You can avoid re-installing this technology if you know the directions and details of placing the equipment. It is important you install them correctly. There are several things to think about and decide before installation.
First, you should consider the installation site. Regardless of whether you are installing an antenna or a satellite dish, it is important that the dish has a clear line between the satellites and its entire dish surface. There must be a clear path available for the dish to receive information. The line between the satellites and the dish should not be blocked by trees or roof tiles, for example, and should be clear from electrical lines. Likewise, be sure the dish or antenna is installed in a location allowing for easy access. This will be appreciated if a repair to the dish or antenna is needed. If the dish or antenna is installed on the roof, install it in a place that will not cause the roof to leak.
Secondly, you should have the right equipment. You need three parts to connect for the antenna or dish to work properly. You must have the dish or antenna, a coaxial cable to connect the dish to the television and a receiver to plug directly into the television. It is important to measure the coaxial cable to confirm that it will reach the dish or antenna from inside your home. You will need other equipment such as a drill and screws to mount the dish or antenna in the right place.
Thirdly, know the correct way to point the satellite dish so that you can receive the best satellite TV reception. If they are pointing in the wrong direction, you will not be able to receive anything. A compass is usually included with the installation kit. Dishes should generally be pointed at a twenty-five to fifty degree angle.
Finally, be careful while installing the dish or antenna on the roof. It is best to avoid installation on the roof when it has been cold or raining. Also, be sure you have a stable ladder and have someone hold it if possible. Wear the proper shoes as well, preferably with good traction to help prevent you from slipping or falling.
By understanding these five points before beginning the installation of satellite dishes or antennas, you can help limit installation to only one time. Further, knowing how the dish or antenna will connect to and work with your home television can provide easier installation altogether and hours of satellite television.

Five Points To Keep In Mind Shopping For Marine Satellite Tv
So, you're thinking of shopping for marine satellite TV this year. Good idea! Aren't you tired of watching cheesy sitcoms, political coverage and dramas from ten years ago? Isn't it time you upgraded to marine satellite TV and enjoy blockbuster movies from this year, as well as exclusive sports coverage and numerous variety specials?
You can get all of that and more with satellite TV. Satellite TV is made possible by communication taking place between a geostationary orbiting satellite and the TV antenna inside a boat or yacht. Keep these five points in mind as you start to shop online for TV antennas and satellite services...
1. You buy the antenna and connect with a service.
The marine satellite TV antenna you buy will be able to automatically track a variety of signals from some of the top satellite providers in the industry. DirecTV and Dish are just a few of the names available, and as you know DirecTV has all the sports while Dish offers more movies and entertainment channels.
2. Ask for special features on your antenna.
You want the best features that will result in a clear picture, regardless of the circumstances. Some of the most important features include Dual LNB conversion, which allow you to watch two different shows on two different televisions, a fast search algorithm feature, which gives you fast marine satellite TV identification and signal acquisition, and dynamic tilting which lets you adjust the antenna to track the signal even in the event of bad weather. (Remember that all satellite TV can be affected by weather, so put this feature on priority)
3. Budget carefully.
You are definitely going to find a marine satellite TV antenna, though what you finally pay for it, will be anyone's guess. After all, there are some satellite antennas that start off at less than $800 and others that soar to prices above $6,000. It's good to budget your finances ahead of time and buy the satellite antenna that you can truly afford.
4. Take care of your marine satellite TV antenna or at least waterproof it.
This is self-explanatory. You want the antenna to have a clear view of the sky for ideal reception on your TV. However, the closer to the top of the boat you put it the more likely it will get soaked by rain or water floods. If possible, look for a marine satellite TV system that is waterproofed for ideal performance.
5. Separate plans and systems to keep track of your budget.
No wonder prices are so high-some systems are fully equipped to serve you and may include everything from a GPS system to a radar to an Internet connection and satellite phone! It may save you money to buy expandable systems at first or perhaps one marine gadget at a time. The good news is that once you have your system going, you can take it all across the ocean and seas, confident that it will provide you with premium entertainment all across North America.

Can I replace my DirectTV satellite with an outdoor antenna and receive free air tv?
I have Direct tv and need to turn it off to save money. I want to get an antenna and get free tv but not sure how it all works. I know my TVs don't need converter boxes. So I was wondering if I simply put an antenna where the satellite is would it be wired so I just plug the TVs in to the wall and get channels? Any other suggestions?
IF you have ATSC or DIGITAL tuning built into your TV set, CONNECT your Antenna to the AIR connector if you have 2 connectors on the back of your TV set....
IF you have ONE connector, connect it to that one.
THEN go into your menu, access the channel setup and select AIR not CABLE.
Then autoprogram it....
Once finished you should have the local TV stations.
