Removing Car Speakers is Not Tough
The usual case is that you are unhappy with the factory speakers that your car came with. In such cases you would need to replace your car's audio speakers for new and more appropriate ones. Also, sometimes the speakers that are already fitted are irreparable and so you need to replace those as well for new ones. In either case, for replacing speakers in your car you would obviously have to remove the older ones and only then can you install the new ones that you want. Actually, the removal of speakers from your car should not take you time at all and is a fairly easy job and can be done by you at home using a few easily available tools, you do not need professional help for this kind of a simple job.
Before you start off with any kind of procedure in the removal of the speakers you first need to make sure that the battery is not in charge and that all electrical supply sources are disconnected so that your safety during the procedure is ensured. My speakers don't fit in my car?
I have a 1990 ford bronco 2 that doesnt have the eddie bauer XLT trim so you can look on crutchfield for my specs but i swear theyre wrong. I recently purchased some 6 1/2" speakers for my car and they dont fit! the basket is too big so the speaker sticks out from the car door. Do I maybe need to buy a baffle for them to act as a sort of barrier betweent the speaker and the door, because this is really irritating. what should I do? thanks.
Those are the correct size speakers. The downfall is that aftermarket speakers tend to have larger magnets than the factory speaker. Your best bet is to buy the baffle to create the extra room that is needed for a better fit. So, you kind of answered your own question.
