how many watt speakers has terrific sound?
I am looking for a nice speaker for my computer. I was looking at the speaker set that has two 5 watt speakers and a 15 watt subwoffer. Does anyone know if that is some nice and powerfull speakers for my computer? Does anyone have any suggestion of what kind of watt speakers and sub is perfect for strong sound.
Just 15W for a subwoofer? You will really lack on the low-end bass response portion of music/sound listening.
I have tried from low end system like one from ProLink with only 3WX2 + 5W [subwoofer]; bass stinks in a way that when you are near to it, you hear bass noise.
Unless its a Philips speaker system, or well inclusive of Creative, other brands I have tried with 15W subwoofer makes bass sound so lacking I gave up after weeks having them.
I recommend you to purchase speaker system with at least the following specs:
- Satellites: Be sure to get them with at least 5W (but of course high volume makes treble so piercing pain for ours ears to cope due to high frequency noise), but I recommend those with 10W/15W since they usually sound tremendously clearer, and louder too. Be sure to see if the speakers have bass duct, usually a hole situated behind the speaker as bass duct improved the deep 'wind-bass' sound experience.
-Subwoofer: Since 5W is bad, 15W is OK for small room, but if the set is to be placed in a large room, a 25W is bare minimum. BUT here's a tip: Put the subwoofer on the floor near to the ends of the room for maximum bass hearing capability. If can, have those with bass ducts situated at the front of the subwoofer box, and not below.
