Ever wished you could fly? Now you can, simply by locating two sturdy trees or posts with a clear flying path between them and fixing a zip wire between them. Hold on tight and prepare yourself for a thrill!

When choosing the anchor trees check they are strong and mature with no signs of disease or rot, they should also be at least 15mm in diameter.

These 'flying foxes', as they are known in America, are an exciting and unusual outdoor toy that promises to provide hours of entertainment. Best of all, it does not require a slope or a huge garden as zip wires can be installed between to trees of equal height.

A garden zip line is a great way to build strength as you take on the challenge of trying to hold on until the end. If you have a swimming pool or pond which is deep enough then you might want to consider installing your zip wire over it so that you can jump (or fall) in to this at the end. If you plan to install a zip line over ground then it is a good idea to leave some slack in the line so you can fly to the end and glide back slowly to the middle.

If there is no slack in the line the ride will be faster, this is not recommended if young children will be using the line. If there is no slack it is advisable to have someone and the end in case you need help stopping.

These 'aerial runways' are strong enough to hold children and adults - generally a 3mm cable will hold up to 16 stone - so there really is no excuse not to get the whole family involved! They are safe for anyone aged 3+ years, although this may vary depending on the type and adult supervision is advised.

Are They Safe?

The advice here is to use your zip wire in groups and, depending on your age and the height of the line, wear a helmet and gloves. It is also advisable to avoid placing zip line over hard surfaces such as stone paving.

That said, ensure the zip wire is manufactured and installed correctly and it should be perfectly safe. I don't recommend buying a second-hand zip wire unless you are sure it's in good condition.

You can buy a new, good quality zip wire inexpensively with all the fittings and full installation instructions should be provided. Follow these instructions carefully and you'll be flying in no time! You should also check the cable and handle bars to ensure they have not become frayed or damaged before each use.

There can be few more fun things to do than hurl yourself down a zip wire or flying fox. Steven Warren writes on a wide range of subjects but finds some of his best fun is playing with his children. Life has been even more fun since he installed a zip wire in the garden.

How The Florida Governor's Race Revealed How to Rent Houses Faster for More Money

We had a contentious, nasty battle to see who was going to govern Paradise this year and like most Floridians, I had trouble figuring out who to vote for.  Race went down to the wire and when the tally was done we had a winner, but almost as many folks  favored (or at least voted for) the losing candidate.

I listened to the commercials and debates and media commentary on Him and Her and as each bucket of mud was thrown, I tried to discover how much was real  valid muck and how much  merely the mock.

Then on the day before I voted, I forced myself to make a decision and then an amazing thing happened.  I was able to immediately dismiss all the bad said about the candidate I had chosen.

Psychologists call this mental effect "consistency."  Once a person makes a decision, they will then start to find ways to support the decision, rather than fairly evaluating all of the new information they have dished up on the issue.

Consider it sort of a scholarly way of saying "you never get a second chance to make another first impression."

I flashed back to some of the scientific material we had discovered when doing the research on how to rent houses faster and some of the techniques we developed and tested in how to talk to a prospective tenant when they are first inquiring about a house we have to rent.

If you are a landlord, or any kind of sales person for that matter, you are familiar with the prospect asking you questions until they get an answer that eliminates the product you are trying to sell them.

If you had only known what they wanted to begin with, possible you could have provided it.  Certainly if you have two or three houses to rent, one may be better for them than the one they called on.

So many people looking for a rental, however, ask questions until that particular house is eliminated and then make another call.  And do the same things over and over, call after call.

We came up with and tested an idea, which finally became the technique we call "Confusion to Consistency" to deal with this kind of prospective renter.

Basically the technique strives to redirect the initial conversation to more neutral topics to begin with, to gain some agreement on less important matters and then moves on to more specific issues.

I discovered this information in research for the book 911 for Landlords, have used the technique in renting houses faster for more money and less stress.  But what I thought was really powerful is that while I have seen the technique work effectively, it works on even on the guy who wrote the book.

It's not something sinister making people do things they do not want to do.  It simply clears some road blocks so you can help the prospective tenant figure out what is really important objectively and then let them know if you have it or not.  Over several prospects it will save them time and direct them to much more perfect accommodations.  And you will lose fewer clients to what may not be as good accommodations.

i have a 77 ford truck and im trying to put a stero deck in it but it dosent have any hookups .what do i need?

what type of wires do i need to make it work in side mt truck?

I put one in my old truck...

really you just need to run a wire from your battery to your deck. (red wire)
then you can A. find an accesory to run to the yellow wire or B. hook the blue and red wire together.. But then you need to remeber to shut the deck off when you shut off your truck... because it will run all the time, even when you shut it off.

Run black wire anywhere to a ground (bare metal)

then run all the green, white, gray, and purple wire to your speakers.
