i dont know anything about audio or sound systems so plz can anyone help me , on piccking out a good subwoofers and amp
One of the most important things to know is the difference between peak and RMS handling. always use RMS specs when matching an amp to subs. If you see nothing but peak info. then a good rule of thumb is: whatever the peak specs are, RMS is "usually" half of that. so, if you have a sub-woofer that handles 1000 watts peak, it would be 400 - 500 watts RMS. Also, take into consideration the impedance in ohms (current). depending on the sub configuration, it can run in 8 - 4 - or 2 ohm imp. once you know what subs your getting and what their true specs are, match an amp that will be equal to or slightly stronger than your subs.
