MKIII Volkswagen, Cannot Connect to OBDII Scanner?
I did a little research. The car originally had an aftermarket Sony tape deck and I installed a Pioneer last night. I tried unhooking the Pioneer and scanning: still nothing.
The port has power, it lights up the VAG controller and gives power to my standalone cheap scanner.
Pulled out the climate control piece and took a look at it. It's physically fine.
Cut the blue wire in the OEM wiring adapted that loops back. Still nothing.
It's not simply because I'm using a shareware of VAG either, I tried my cheap generic scanner as well and got nothing.
I blew a fuse in bank 16 and replaced last night while installing said CD deck.
Help me figure this out. I don't like not being able to communicate with my car. Any ideas?
This is really frustrating.
In my 87 VW Jetta the seats reclined back so far that it was easy to get a lot of vadge. Things got blown and pulled out in there too. I miss that car.
