Here are some more information for Tube Bazooka:

For those of you out there who are thinking of ways to kick up your music system in your car to the next notch, your best option would be to install a Bazooka Bass Tube into you trunk and get thumping! I personally purchased one 2 months ago and can't imagine my car system without it.
My old car stereo system was sub par. It was the factory install and I had been doing fine with it until I heard a bass tube in my friends car. The bass tube amp was thumping the entire car so much, my entire body was moving with every bass note. At first I thought he actually had a real bass guitar cabinet in the trunk.I knew I wanted to have my car be able to thump that much. So I started researching which tube I should get and which one would be best for my specific car.
I drive a Subaru Outback. The system in the car is all right. But compared to my friend's car, my system seemed very weak. So I looked online and asked different car stereo install technicians which one would work best for my car. Each mechanic had his or her own opinion but I finally came to decision to buy a Bazooka Bass Tube.
I had read reviews on Bazooka's and it was also the exact same one as my friend had. I had also heard great reviews about a JBL tubes but overall felt the Bazooka would fit my Subaru outback the best. Each car can be different on how and where to install the car. So make sure to do your own research before making the final decision. I purchased my Bazooka Bass tube online and had it delivered to my house. I got it in the mail and immediately started to read the "install" directions. I had also ask my mechanic if knew how to install a bass tube amp and he gave me written directions on how to do it.
I followed the directions exactly as what was written and hooked everything up. It was surprisingly easy to install and it looked pretty "bad-ass" when I was done. I had everything hooked up and was ready to try it out. I put in a CD and blasted it and the whole car shook and vibrated to the bass line. I was very happy with my newly installed bazooka Bass tube and was ready to show it off.

Shopping Tips for Car Subwoofers
While the quality of standard OEM sound equipment has improved over the years, you still need some sort of subwoofer in the system to produce that rich sounding bass that most of us are fond of when listening to our home stereo systems.
You can find subwoofers ranging in size from 6 inches up to 18 inches in diameter from dozens of automotive electronics companies. Many times a shopper will purchase a specific brand sub in the largest size available thinking that "bigger" must be "better". Then after getting it home, they realize that they have no room to devote to the enclosure that is needed, not to mention they failed to budget for the powerful amplifier they'll need to power their beast.
Planning ahead is essential when upgrading your car audio system with a subwoofer. But it can be quite rewarding and enjoyable if you follow a few simple suggestions. If you are limited on available space and simply want better bass then your standard full range speakers are capable of, then you might consider one of the amplified enclosed subs. These are easy to install and you'll find them available from companies like Boss, Infinity and Bazooka. They are small six to eight inch subwoofers installed in small enclosures or tubes and they have a basic amplifier integrated into the unit. Considering that they offer a sub, enclosure and amplifier included into one small package, they should be your least expensive option while providing the smallest footprint in regards to space.
But if you enjoy rap music, popular music or just about any music where you want deep bass which can vibrate the windows, then you'll probably want to go with separate components.

Bazooka tube with KICKER amp?
I have a Bazooka BT1224DVC Car Subwoofer 12" Bass Tube that I just ordered for my car and I just received my Kicker Amp 08zx 300.1. I had a friend tell me that a kicker amp is crappy and will blow out in two weeks and i should return it but i already have it and i dont want to unless i know for a fact that it will sound horrible. Im not looking to blow my windows out or shake buildings i just want to be able to turn my music up with a good sounding bass and my factory amp not blowing out should i keep the amp and just have it installed Sat. or be patient return it and get a new one and if i get a new one what would be best but not cost me $1000.00
Sounds like your friend is just jealous!
Kicker is one of the best Subwoofer/Amplifier manufacturers at the moment. Just make sure you wire the amp and the subs right and you'll be fine!
