Advantages Of LCD Video Projection
1. What makes the LCD projector assembly very practical is that it is compact, since the LCD chip is very small.
One LCD chip is hundreds of times smaller than the three projection tubes needed in CRT-based rear-projection televisions. This means that LCD-based rear-projection televisions can be made a lot thinner and lighter than traditional CRT-based rear-projection sets. Although you can't hang it on the wall like you can with an LCD flat panel or Plasma Television, you can still save a lot of floor space, and spend less money than you would buying that stylish LCD flat panel or Plasma set. In addition, since these are projection sets, you can get one in larger screen sizes than you can with either LCD or Plasma flat panel types.
2. Other advantages of rear-projection LCD technology are its high contrast and brightness capability, as well as lower power consumption.
Limitations Of LCD Video Projection
1. A LCD projection television can often times exhibit what is called "the screen door effect". The screen is made up of indivudual pixels, therefore ey can be seen on a large screen. This gives it the appearence of viewing the image through a screen door.
2.The construction of LCD RPTV may seem simple, however they are still more complex and therefore usually much more expensive than their CRT counterparts.
3. Since an LCD chip is made up of a panel of individual pixels, if one pixel burns out it displays an annoying black or white dot on the projected image. Individual pixels cannot be repaired, if one or more pixels burn out, the entire chip has to be replaced.
4. Since LCD chips have a finite number of pixels, signal inputs that have higher resolutions must be scaled to fit the pixel field count of the particular LCD chip. For example, a typical HDTV input format of 1080i needs a native display of 1920x1080 pixels for a one-to-one display of the HDTV image. However, if your LCD chip only has a pixel field of 1024x768, the original HDTV signal must be scaled to fit the 1024x768 pixel count on the LCD chip (in addition the image will also have to be letterboxed to reproduce the correct widescreen aspect ratio). This is where CRT-based rear-projection sets can excel over an LCD rear-projection set. Since CRTs are not limited by a fixed pixel field, they are more flexible at displaying various resolutions, due to being able to variably scan the image onto the projection tube surface.

32Lh30 Lg - Excellent Hd For The Price
I bought this television about 4 months ago at about the same price. There really is not many televisions that can compare at this price range. The television has 3 hdmi inputs as well as several others for aux and hd 5-6 prong cables.
The picture is crisp, it will suffer from the quick action blur during some sporting events (i saw it a little in football) but at this price, its is a minimal issue. Before this tv, I owned a Samsung 1080i HD-tube tv and the difference is clear. If you want to have the crisp darks and grey scale, Samsung might be for you, but this picture performs best with colorful scenes. You can see a clear difference in color quality when watching baseball. Colors are just crisper on this LG.
I am an avid gmaer and blu-ray watcher. The only qualm I have is the sound quality isn't anything special. With a blu-ray in the ps3, and using my hdmi cords, I have never had an issue with the sound. It is just watching cable or a regular dvd when I find myself turning the tv up substantially. The sound will be strong enough to give you a jolt during the action scenes tho. So, as I said, it isn't a major concern for me.
Unless you are looking at lcd or higher end names, this is a great tv for just about anyone.
32LH30 LG - What an Experience!
Here I go again with a review of the 32lh30 lg LCD TV.
I have seen and used alot of brands like Pioneer Elite Plasmas, Sony LCD, Samsung DLP and Mitsubishi DLP.
Well I have to say that the LG stands out the most for the amazing price of $524.
The Picture quality is second to none, it is the BEST 32 inch LCD I have ever used or seen.
I use the LG for Videogames (XBOX 360 and PS3) @ 1080P and for movies via Bluray and DVD.
The games look very vivid and natural, especially games like Resident Evil 5, Uncharted 2, and Gears of War I and II.
Very satisfied with the videogames on this TV.
For movies I use a Sony BDP-S350 Bluray player @ 1080P and a Denon DVD-955S Universal DVD Player.
The Bluray's look amazing even though I will upgrade my Sony to a Denon or Marantz shortly.
But I was very impressed with the DVD's via Denon 955S because the TV I used before was nothing like the LG.
Of course for getting this amazing picture from DVD's I can mainly thank LG and Denon for the performance I got.
The Contrast on this TV is sure amazing because I have not seen blacks like this before on any 32 inch LCD.
I seriously believe that LG is right up there with the Pioneer Elite TV's which sadly are no longer being made.
The look of the LG is extraordinary, very nice Piano Black sides and a very nice chrome bar on the bottom which has an LED light on the right hand side, it glows dark red when the TV is in sleep mode and a very nice dark blue when the TV is on.
The Energy saving feature is great you can adjust how much energy you want the TV to save and the sound is very good, even though I am using seperate speakers and subwoofer for my sound. I still cannot believe the performance and look of this TV.
LG did something that Sony and Vizio should learn to master.
I also believe Samsung and LG are the top TV's no matter what size.
I highly recommend this TV to anyone who wants the best for an amazing price.
Do yourself a favor and buy an LG, I sure will only buy LG from now on.

Can anyone help me with ways to put a subwoofer in a HiLux dual cab?
I dont actually have the car yet but am getting it in a couple weeks, its year model 1990ish, i dont think there is any room behind the back seats and i have a Fusion 10" sub, its a long tube shape. Im thinking about just sitting it in the middle back seat, how would i attach it?
best bet build a new box that fit's well in the truck .maybe in the back on the floor in the middle facing the roof , this way 4 people can still sit in the truck and you'll have optimal bass if you build a ported box to factory specks here a site to help build the box . if you just wanna use you existing tube you could always use straps to hold it down ,http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html
